QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 03:01 PM) Fedor does. You can disagree and minimize my arguments all you want (blood is red.cool), but the guy is amazing in the ring. And he DOES break his hands every time he fights, the guy throws absolute haymakers. And after watching Buentello destroy Fedors little wannabe on affliction last weekend, I am much more impressed with the sport. Hugging is fun to watch. Cool I don't know anything about the fighters you mentioned. As far as Fedor, he might want to take a look into boxing where the money is still larger if he truly can punch like a heavyweight champion. And if you enjoy explosions more, then stick with MMA. I'll stick with the history and class of boxing and continue to hate Don King for slowly killing it. If not for Don King, this debate probably doesn't exist.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 02:54 PM) You must also enjoy the four hours or so after applying new paint to a wall as well, then. Beer and sitting on the couch is nice, yes. You going to add anything useful to the debate or just keep taking pot shots at me?

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 02:38 PM) well your point is that its s***. My point is that boxing is even more s***. The knockouts in MMA/UFC are much better. Blood is red. Cool.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 02:34 PM) Actually this is what fighting is. I have yet to see a real fight where two men wear pillows on their hands and dance around punching from the belt up, a belt mind you, that seems to fit some where around the top of their rib cage. Boxing is boring. I would rather see combat as it really happens. 12 rounds of a dancing contest is not for me. That depends on the fighter. Lennox Lewis was boring as hell, but I enjoyed watching him fight. Have you seen amateur boxing live? A lot of the time, since it's three rounds, those guys get to it and don't waste time. Yeah, the top contenders can be boring, especially the heavyweights, and they fight with gloves, but there is nobody in UFC that has the type of power a young Mike Tyson or Joe Fraiser had. The boxers would probably break their hands in the middle of the fight if they didn't use gloves. Also, with the amount of tape they put around their knuckles, there's not half as much cushion as you'd think. It's not much different than the gloves the UFC fighters wear. Also, the gloves, typically, are used for defensive purposes, not to cushion a punch that'd probably paralyze the average man. Also, most of the fights you've seen between two, probably drunk, men... that's not a fight. That's two guys trying to be tough.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 01:15 PM) Its a different sport, I wouldnt ask them to hold their jock straps. Of course, none of those guys have any ground game, so I imagine once "douches" like Lesnar take them down, its over. If it was standing straight up and actual boxing, then yeah, they would win That's beside the point.

QUOTE (onedude @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 12:08 PM) I'll be getting The Show as well, I'd rather you add my name onedude84 Request sent.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 11:47 AM) So you think UFC is just entertainment? It's a few notches below entertainment. It's s***. If any of you think a douche like that can hold the jock strap of guys like Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Lewis, Jack Dempsy, George Foreman, Willie Pep, etc... you were dropped as a child.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 11:41 AM) Ha. The fact that you just said you'd rather watch WWE shows that YOU'RE just going for shock value. Unfortunately, boxing is boring and dead, and no one cares but you. It's dying because people fall for "entertainment." Just like the movie business.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 10:58 AM) Okay Mr. Bitter go dust off your Atari 2600 & tell us how boxing's a "real man's" sport. Maybe I'll just kick you in the leg, roll around on the floor with you for 10 minutes and twist your arm, pull your hair and then be told by boxing scouts that I don't have what it takes to make it to the big show, instead. Give me a break, I'd rather watch WWE than that trash. You call that fighting? I call it shock value. No man with any sort of class fights like those brutes in UFC.

QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Jan 27, 2009 -> 10:08 AM) i have been told by historians that boxing is an outdated system of fighting that was blown out of the water by a much more polished version of fighting Go play your Wii.

QUOTE (Whitewashed in '05 @ Jan 24, 2009 -> 05:28 PM) It's all UFC or nothing these days... And what a damn shame. f*** UFC.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 26, 2009 -> 09:34 AM) Call me a prude but I don't see any scenario where it's cool to bring toddlers and babies to R rated movies. I'm with you here. I get very upset when people talk during movies; a crying baby is even worse. I understand that they don't all cry and some will sit, sleep or whatever in silence the entire time, but it's not worth the risk. Parents make a lot of sacrifices when they have kids, this isn't too much more to give up here. Get a babysitter or simply don't go to the movies and ruin it for everyone else. At the very least, make them pay for the baby at even a PG flick so they can think twice about the chances of ruining it for everyone there, regardless of what time they're there. There aren't enough 18+ only movie theaters in this country.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 25, 2009 -> 06:10 PM) I am the most hungover of all. I think it's actually kind of annoying when people talk about being hungover, but it makes the person feel so much better and the hangover less intense. A lot to drink and mass vomiting later in the night. Ouch. Fixed.

QUOTE (shipps @ Jan 25, 2009 -> 02:34 PM) Speaking of which, it took me a long time to realize that there was absolutely NO penetration happening in those movies. And even once I found out it took a while until I was convinced. I felt so decieved. I always wondered how those dudes didn't get hard.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 02:06 PM) I also love Ketchup on a hotdog, with nothing else! I just threw up in my mouth.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 24, 2009 -> 02:23 PM) Yes, and would have been a hell of a lot more entertaining if it focused on the serial killer and not the Jolie's character. I'd like to see you call it a weak conspiracy if it happened to anyone in your family, that's all.

QUOTE (onedude @ Jan 24, 2009 -> 01:51 PM) Yeah...i'll pass on an mmo. I'm comparing that game to like playing an earlier game system rpg (ff7, chrono cross) but with multiple players with a max of 4. I prefer that type of online RPG. You can continue it offline or online...don't need to waste your life trying to find people to play with you. I'm alright with finding people to play with. World of Warcraft you can play by yourself up until the high levels (which take a b****load of time to get to). Final Fantasy 11 is mostly grouping, but that game kind of sucks dick. I enjoy a good MMO, but have plenty of gripes with them that I don't feel like getting into. The game Jenksismyb**** seems to be looking for is here: White Knight Chronicles

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 07:40 PM) Really? Everyone i know thought it sucked. I'll try to redeem myself in some way. I liked it too.

QUOTE (onedude @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 10:23 PM) I posted a few posts ago...a game called Borderlands....I think that game can be what you are talking about. Has the opportunity to be awesome... It is but it isn't. It's an online story mode, but not MMO.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 06:51 PM) I didn't like it because I felt it was incredibly boring and could have easily been a 30 minute TV show instead of a drawn out 2 hour snooze fest. Please explain.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 23, 2009 -> 06:40 PM) I really haven't heard of anyone liking that movie, except maybe critics. I enjoyed it.
