It is neither. It is just plain stupidity. The 'artist' in question is just seeking some publicity, and is taking a low road to get there. This is not art.

From the story: "And English-only laws do nothing constructive to increase English proficiency. They simply discriminate and punish those who have not yet learned English,” Schneider said. No, they simply let the government conduct 'official' business in ONE language, so they don't have to print multiple forms in multiple languages, or have interpreters handy for various meetings and such. The print savings along are HUGE. I own a print shop, and do the printing for a few of the towns by my shop, I know. Part of me would be sad to see this end, I like the $$$, but in principle, there is no reason for the forms to be in anything other than English.

I got a 'poster' of sorts that was given out by Old Style to various bars and such. It is a diamond shape, about 2.5 feet on each side, and in the middle has a montage of sox pics, baseball card pics, and a salute to Old Cominsky Park. The coolest part if that it had the names of every sox player that ever played for the sox in alphabetical order, followed by the years they played for the Sox after their names. The players that were currectly playing had the dates open ended ( 1992 - ). I love that piece. But then again, I also love the White Sox bank my son bought me as well.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 12, 2005 -> 06:08 PM) I've had wild rabbit before. I didn't care for it at all. It was a very greasy, pungeant meat. Very wild tasting. Rabbit tastes good, if you prepare it right. Seriously, prepare it just like youwould chicken. No, it doesn't taste like chicken, but does taste good. Used to hunt them (and squirrells, too) all the time with my dad, but we don't get out too much anymore.

Sex in a car always seemd like a teenage thing to me. I tried to arrange that before I turned 20, but didn't manage to pull it off until about 2 weeks after I turned 20. While no car may be 'too small', you sure don't want to do it in a Yugo if you have any other choice. Glad I was still 'flexible'.

Do the Bulls really need Eddy next year?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 9, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) So it's worth signing Curry just because he can score, despite the fact he doesn't play defense, can't rebound and could balloon his weight when he signs a long - term deal like so many other centers have done? I didn't say that. I said they need a center. Lots of NBA players are not worth what they signed. Hell, most atheletes in general are not worth what they are paid, but that is a whole different discussion. Lots of NDa players are only good at scoring. Some are only good at defense. They still make the team better. Is Eddie one of those? I don't know, that's why I asked who would be out there. Are the Bulls gonna start Othella Harrington next year? While I love what he has contributed this year, put him in the starting roll, he will be toast. -

They DO need a center, who can post up and score, so in no Eddie, who is out there they can sign? -
I don't have a problem with coaches going to thier closer in the 9th, but the flurry of pitchers beforfe Shingo just ticks me off. I hate bringing in a pitcher for one batter.

Maybe they should have been a little slower, he would have saved the fine state of Texas lots of money on court costs. I am suprised KWF didn't post this first!

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 12:30 PM) O'Reill is part of the anti-Texas media. America needs Delay. I'm not certain why the anti-Texas media have targeted this man for extermination. I'll bet there are campaigns all over this country where the candidate has family that are savvy and can help and are getting paid. I don't see what is wrong with that. Why are you always so over-the-top and melodramatic? Its not always all-or-nothing, yet you act like it is. Chill out a bit, my fellow Sox fan, have a beer. Relax.

I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota that I drive for work, and a 95 T-brid that I commute to work in. Ilove that T-bird, or at least I did when gas was under $2/gal. I have the Mustang v-8 in it, so it hauls ass, which means it also sucks gas. I think I may be parking it for a bit and using my truck to commute in. Got the v-6 instead of the 8, so it isn't too bad. Trucks are nice, if you can handle the limitations. I have had a Ranger, Dakota and a F-150 over the last 20 years, all were nice. But like Stef said, drive it first, and more than just around the block.

First job was doing some of that migratory-type farm work at 14 yrs of age, weeding soybean fields. Back hurt like hell! First job that actually paid me with a check, with taxes and all taken out was at a Dairy Queen, as a cook, of all things. Got to make the ice cream stuff too, which was kinda fun back then. But hey, it was all about the money, ANY MONEY, back then.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 02:41 PM) Bad It has insulted the outstanding officers in the US Border Patrol. Imagine if we did that to a US serviceman in Iraq. I believe the Minutemen are saying that the LEADERS are not committing their resources to the fight, not the individual officers themselves. Much like the anit-iraqi war protestors were trying to say how they support the troops, but yet belittled Bush and the war leaders at every opportunity.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 03:42 PM) Thats a tough statement. I for one, watched him pitch, and he looks to me like what Hudson looked like a few years ago. he is going to be a good one for sure. The x-factor for detroit in my eyes, is the rest of the rotation, and the power-happy offense I'm not saying he doesn't have good stuff, I am just saying that so far, all he faced was the Royals. But you are right, the rest of their rotation is a crap shoot.

At the risk of having LCR saying that I see conspricies everywhere, notice how the story never mentions that he is a Democrat until the 7th paragraph? Isn't that usually noted in () right after their names first appears, such as 'Senator Ford (D)?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 06:15 AM) Bonderman's the X Factor for Detroit. A lot of people are thinking he's going to be the breakout player this season, and on today's form he's done nothing to quell the hype. They need the rest of the rotation in guys like Ledezma to hold up as well though, although pitching in that huge park in Comerica will no doubt help. Just remember, Bonderman did that against the 104-loss Royals. When he does that against the Yank-mes or Angels, then they can annoint him Cy Young.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 01:12 AM) Westbrook was dealing. He looked every bit as good as his 3.38 ERA of last season. I have to second that statement. It was only one game, but give credit to Westbrook pitching his butt off.

No security system on the house, but you have to lock everything. We have this guy 3 houses up the block who fried his brain on LSD that goes around checking car doors, sheds and sometimes even houses for open doors. He has been beaten up by a few people who have caught him in thier cars, but so far he is lucky he hasn't been seriously hurt.

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 05:09 AM) You would think people would be more upset about some Nuclear s*** leaking out killing mf'ers than my posting habits. http://www.friendsofbruce.ca/IRs/Nuclear_W...%2311_2002.html Maybe Canada should fix thier own problems with nuclear waste, especially since ot could possibly contaminate the Great Lakes. I like this line alot: "The amount of waste stored at the Bruce site alone exceeds the total amount of waste stored at all U-S reactors around the Great Lakes. " Just as a point of discussin, it seems Canada also wants to busy its waste deep, choosing instead an area in the 'Canadian Shield'. Prelimiary studies show it is safe, but enviros are squawking. http://www.aecl.ca/index.asp?menuid=500&mi...ayid=3&csid=301

LCR, yes, I was ranting. And I was pissed. It really ticks me off every time I hear KWF posting things about the US with his (in my opinion) arrogant attitude of Canada being better than the US. It really irritates me. I read your points on various topics, and while I often think you are full of s*** too, I can follow your points and they are usually well thought out. Kip is just a little instigator. I will stop with the name calling. I will agree that I was a little zealous, and will cease. I will not stop being offended by KWF's incessant negative posts about America. LCR, you say that "Posting articles regarding the failings of American policy isn't insulting to the American people -- but rather forments debate over issues." Well, to a point, I agree. But when the topics are presented with an attitude or bias upfront, the messenger starts to lose any sense of credibility as one who is merely trying to 'foster debate'. KWF isn't trying to foster anything, except his post count and his dislike for America. LCR, if I ever meet you at a Sox game, I will buy you a beer, assuming you are old enough. I actually enjoy reading most of your posts, including the one about the Punisher shirt. The pics looked the same to me. KWF, I hope I never see you at a Sox game, or you will be wearing said beer. Consider it a form of protest, ala the type used agains Ann Coulter, etc.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 05:27 AM) What? No foaming at the mouth of a rampant anti-Canadian bias? I love hackery of "Sure, our country may have a government of corrupt, amoral pricks for leaders but you've got some too so that means ours are somehow absolved!" One can condemn all corruption there *cough Evil Monkey cough* without taking sides due to simple geographic location. I'm just pointing out an interesting subplot in a topic thathas been discussed on here at lenght before. Discuss.

[ QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 04:32 AM) I'm Canadian so I shouldn't post regulary anything that's in ANY way damaging to ANY area, sector, industy or any f***ing group in the United States. Leave it to you to be so f***ing literal and absolute. Did anyone ever mention banning? Did I ever say to stop posting ENTIRELY? Reading comprehension is a skill, learn it. Why are you so compelled to find these stories and post them here? Why does the US and its problems interst you to the point of your almost obsession in posting them here on a Soxtalk board? What drives you? Hatred? Jealousy? Post count? You are a pathetic person in your anti-us-biased postings. And as for you being hurt? GOOD! It hurts me a little each time I see you post crap from up north with your seemingly holier-than-thou attitude. America has problems. Canada has problems. We don't need YOU to keep pointing them out.
