  1. QUOTE(Adam G @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) Wasnt it Ron Schuler who said that Clemens was washed up and that he's rather have Jamie Navarro?
  2. QUOTE(skidoochic @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) I'm sorry I don't have time to check to see if someone already said this, but the WhiteSox home page said it was close between Jeter and Pods around 11:00 a.m. this morning. I will continue voting for Pods! It was posted, but here are the rest of the standings...
  3. Since Derrek Lee turned it down, the only ones I could think of is Garret Anderson (I remember his showcase at Comiskey two years ago), Teixeira, Gary Sheffield, Konerko and/or Jim Edmonds. That is if they are only allowing the the All-Stars to participate.
  4. QUOTE(mreye @ Jul 5, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) Where did you see that? That's awesome! http://www.suntimes.com/output/sports/cst-spt-sox05.html Towards the end of the article.
  5. It'll be a pretty steep price for someone who may not even play next year. If the rumor is true, which I doubt, we'd give up a few top prospects for basically a rent-a-pitcher. No thanks. Plus, he's washed up remember?
  6. Mark Buehrle is doing his part: Let's hope it helps.
  7. C'mon this is the Devil Rays!!! I know they have good hitters and all, but last night should have been an easy win. Why do the Sox always seem to have trouble against them? Hopefully, Freddy will keep them in check tonight.
  8. Hoping for not another 4th of July nightmare vs. DRays. That Crawford homer was a dagger in my heart.
  9. Without a doubt, Contreras. Sometimes he has nasty stuff, other times I want to break my TV watching him.
  10. The Sox are done with the "House of Horrors" until next year, thankfully. Now they're back home and, hopefully, ready to start a win streak to close out the first-half. P.S. VOTE FOR PODSEDNIK
  11. 2 of 3, means the Sox would be 3-3 at that place on the year. Not bad considering the history. The Sox have the perfect man going today. Also, if the Sox have another long win streak, they could possibly have 60 wins at the ASG.
  12. C'mon Jon, be the first 13 game winner. I hate the A's. When the Sox play here, it re-inforces that. How about a repeat performance of your last outing against these guys?
  13. C'mon Jose, emulate Freddy's performace. We'll also be facing Saarloos tomorrow, but Sunday it's Buehrle against Zito. Why not take 2 out three?
  14. QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 04:43 PM) Francona has Sox connections, and if we still have the best record then, theyll have to a find a way to represent them at least a little. True. But we will not have 3 starting pitchers. It will be Garland and/or Buehrle. That may be it. If we have a third rep, then it will be Hermanson. I guess we'll just have to wait until Sunday. Then we can debate about who got screwed.
  15. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 30, 2005 -> 03:41 PM) Now lets go to the 4th cavern of Hell and win a series this weekend. If we do that, it's definitely our year. Hopefully, we have a different umpiring crew than the last time we're at that place.
  16. BTW, that was Freddy's 1st CG in a White Sox uniform.
  17. FREDDY - CG Under 100 pitches & saving the BP JOE - Got us on the board CARL - Continued the assault AARON - Saved the second run EAT s*** TIGERS!!!!!
  18. Jermaine Would Frank have scored on that one?
  19. Big Carl. The Game Thread takes a turn for the positive. Me included.
