  1. A win. No less than 5 IP. And someone who we can rely on until El Duque is "healthy" again.
  2. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) In other words, much higher than he ought to be. Probably. Rowand should definitely be higher than him.
  3. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 04:49 PM) im still wondering how come you havent highlighted any of the sox outfielders Fixed. You will now see that Jermaine is buried at #15. Although, with a little luck he could pass us Hidalgo.
  4. Buehrle deserves to go. Even over Garland. It should make up for him getting gyped last year, when 6!!!! Indians were represented.
  5. I'm all for jumping on the Mark Teixeira bandwagon. First in the ML to 20 HRs, leading AL MVP candidate. He needs about 44,000 to catch Tino Martinez. Hope he can do it. He has until June 30. BTW, AJ is now #5 for catchers
  6. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) I still remain amazed how we have the best record in the Major Leagues, are 7.5 games up on the Twins, and are 24 games over .500 on June 20. Couldn't agree more. I'm more amazed at their sick record. I'm soaking in every moment. It's making the summer so much fun, I can't wait for the next game to start, each the time the other one ends.
  7. QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 12:48 PM) Koch had 11 or so with 40 saves before we got him, now that's valauble to a fantasy team That probably because of all his blown saves.
  8. I guess I'm following the old cliche - if it ain't broke, don't fix it. But I wouldn't complain.
  9. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 10:49 AM) Better than White Sox vs Cub? Not for me. I hope to live to see the day we sweep them in the World Series. I'd never want to see that. I'd be too afraid the Cubs would win, let alone all the media attention the Cubs would get. Sox/Stl would be ideal. Not only would it be a great matchup, it would be a Cub fan's nightmare.
  10. QUOTE(southsideirish @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 12:23 PM) OOOOOPS! Then if there is another closer out there that can be had I would like to get him. Shawn Chacon if he is doing good with his rehab? Danys Baez? Maybe just bring up Bobby Jenks and see how he does. Why all the talk about another closer? What is wrong with Hermanson? If anything we need another middle reliever.
  11. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) Wasnt it reported around here that Guardado is pitching with a torn labrum or severely messed up shoulder? According to rotoworld, he's got elbow soreness. In any case, major injury risk.
  12. That's why I said as long as long as we're dreaming. I'd love to have him. But Hermanson is doing a fine job. I can dream about having Lidge and his nasty slider in the Sox bullpen even though it'd never happen.
  13. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 09:47 AM) For me it would be a starting pitcher or a top flight closer. Hermanson makes me nervous. As long as we're dreaming...Brad Lidge?
  14. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 20, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) #1- Robin Ventura's walkoff Grand Slam against Goose Gossage of the Rangers #5 Carlos Lee's extra inning Grand Slam to win a game against the Cubs. Those are my top two. The first one, of course, because it's Robin. What didn't he do for the Sox? I especially remember that Carlos Lee game, because I was there. What better way to end it. He destroyed that Courtney Duncan pitch. I remember watching all the dumbass Cub fans hanging their heads as we left the ball park. Of course the best one is 1983....Harold Baines' sac fly scoring Julio Cruz to win the 1983 AL West Crown. They won that division by 20 games!!
  15. BMac: Pretend your still pitching in Charlotte, these Royals aren't much different than some of those teams. Although they have been playing a lot better under Buddy Bell. White Sox: Score some runs, give BMac his well deserved first ML victory. The first of many, I'm sure. A win tonight and we'll have a nice, eight game lead.
  16. Willie had two great nights. Saturday night and last night. Stole a huge base on Saturday and had a nice sacrifice bunt on Sunday. He's shown significant improvement over last year in both deparments. That being said, he's probably the odd man out. No purpose Perez stays.
  17. I don't believe Duque will be going anywhere. One of the main reasons he was signed was his awesome postseason record. It said in the paper today, that they would want him to have at least one rehab start before he pitches for the Sox again, whether it's starting or relieving. They knew what they were getting into when they signed him. As for McCarthy, I'm sure the Sox can carry 12 pitchers again.
  18. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 11:17 AM) Where'd ya get that background? Id love to have it. It's a Windows XP 2003 server desktop background. You can also get it by downloading WinStyler.

That was a great show. It really makes you think and feel for those people. The good thing about shows on FX or USA is that they are rerun several times throughout the week. My DVR has recorded the same episode at least four times.

  21. Great post, JimH I agree. He's a decent OF and with the health of Big Frank always questionable, we're definitely going to need this guy the rest of the way. He means business and just wants to win.
