  1. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) No idea..please explain... It was kind of video montage of famous Sox stars, past and present, that was shown on the scoreboard when the Sox would take the field. I think it was back in 2000. It was a pretty cool song accompanying it.
  2. QUOTE(TheBlackSox8 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) I guess the Twins....LOL if they make the WC. They seem to be down to earth in offense, and their pitching and ours are similar(though they have the better bullpen) We can't play them in the ALDS. Baseball rules prevents teams in the same division playing each other in the ALDS.
  3. Does anyone remember "The White Sox Sonata" ? I actually found a copy of it off of Kazaa.
  4. There's also a song by the Rolling Stones called "Winning Ugly" off their Dirty Work album.
  5. QUOTE(mreye @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 11:22 AM) Down boy. I've heard that logic from the sports media and I'm just telling my opinion on it.
  6. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 10:45 AM) First of all, they are already penciling this team for the playoffs now... who'd a thunk that? Second, the Angels are a bigger concern then the Rangers. Much bigger. I know we played a'right in Anaheim last go round, but I want nothing to do with the West Coast when we get to the playoffs. I fear the Angels more than the Rangers. When we played them, they had no Vlad. They also are more playoff tested. As for the radio shows, listen to Carmen & Silvy they seem to be have no team preferences.
  7. QUOTE(mreye @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 11:08 AM) I don't like that logic. It's logic like that that stole an MVP from Jordan and gave it to Karl Malone. Who cares. That's my opinion. I'm still pissed he beat out Loaiza.
  8. Halladay already won one. Give it to Buehrle.
  9. As much as I love Buehrle, he has YET to win a Cy Young or Playoff game. Black Jack and Hoyt have. Things may change very soon, though.
  10. BlackJack, and in a few years, Buehrle. Hands down. Why is Mike Sirotka an option?
  11. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Jun 22, 2005 -> 10:31 AM) I was at that Seattle game. Unbelievable game by Buehrle, but to be honest, there was a part of me that was kinda pissed about how short the game was. I missed about 3 innings in the beer line. That's why it's best to tailgate Buehrle's starts. Otherwise, you'll only have an hour to drink.
  12. Widger was behind the plate for Buehrle in the 1:39 game against Seattle. Perhaps another one? Hopefully, I can see most of the game during my hour lunch break. Sweep 'em out of town and bring on the Scrubs!
  13. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:02 PM) Really? QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 09:02 PM) That's a real odd stat. I think that one deserveds to go to Jayson Stark for his useless info page. I know. It is weird.
  14. Garland has beaten KC for his 12th victory each of the last four years.
  15. Morneau pops up to end it. Bonderman with a CG. 9 up on those f***ers!!!
  16. Garland - YES 26 Games Over - YES 9 Games Up - YES Bonderman and the Tigers - YES
  17. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 08:37 PM) Garland's got a shot at 13, 14, or maybe even 15 wins by the AS game. You gonna start someone other than the 14 game winner? Buehrle.

  19. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:10 PM) Why would he take a shot at the Cardinals? That doesn't make sense. He was showing the difference. Pretty much how all the other "experts" feel. He wasn't dissing the Cardinals at all.
  20. QUOTE(Wedge @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 04:53 PM) let's not forget Dye and Crede ...And Politte.
  21. I thought this was funny listening on the radio yesterday- John Rooney kept mentioning how good of a team the Cardinals were and how lucky of a team the Sox were. All tongue in cheek, of course.
  22. QUOTE(knightni @ Jun 21, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) I just dropped 50 votes for Teixiera. Good man.
  23. I remember at the end of the game yesterday, they said their next game on WCIU/WGN will be Friday. Then they listed Mitre v. Garcia underneath. Then it's Maddux v. Contreras on Saturday. Sunday is up in the air for both teams.
  24. 1B and SS seems to be the only competition left.
  25. Not expecting too many runs after last night's slugfest. Greinke's usually good against us and the Royals have been Garland's b****es.
