  1. Every blown save, a similar responce.. He is disgusted with himself.. Koch isn't a bad guy, he's just a bad pitcher which is why I wont be purchasing cheats t-shirt..
  2. I wouldnt mind it, Colome ain't bad at all. This was my goal to spark interest in players that can get the job done and dont require giving up Jeremy Reed. I am still in complete shock that no team has gone after BK Kim. The guy has the stuff to be a great pitcher in this league, give him to Ozzie and his "headcase" problem will be fixed. How about Jose Contreras of the Yankees who is currently being rumored to go to Florida for Carlos Beltran, yes Beltran. Who else is there, Jose Mesa.. Matt Mantei..
  3. I thought this thing on Lemon was rather interesting from Baseball America..
  4. The Celtics were a bad playoff team with Antoine, and still a bad playoff team without Antoine. He is one of the most overrated players in the game, and it truly shows now that Dallas is desperately trying to dump him, and not even the Bobcats will take him via the expansion draft. Antoine Walker sucks, his max contract makes him even worse, and when your able to acquire a tall, great passing, great shooting player making Erick Dampier type money in Raef along with Jiri Welsch who alone has more talent than Walker, on top of a first round draft pick. Its not only a good trade, its an excellent deal. Props to Danny. backbone of the team? an always injured expensive, talentless Battie and a free agent to be who only took up maturing time for the Jiri Welsch's and Brandon Hunters of the Celts for a future all-star in Ricky Davis and a young cheap center in Mihm. So yes, I'll say it again, the Celtics stole Ricky Davis from the Cavs. Another funny thing is when you say O'Brien is "the best coach they've had in a long, long time." It really shows that you know nothing about the game of basketball. Jim O'Brien was one of the worst possible things that happened to this Celtics team this season because like we all knew, they weren't going anywhere. You can't continue to play old bad players preventing your youth from maturing, it just shouldnt be allowed, and Danny didnt stand for it. Mihm sucks, he's probably gone anyways, so your scouting report of him is meaningless. As for Davis being average because everyone else was terrible.. I dont really understand what your talking about.. who was terrible, how was everyone else terrible? Ricky Davis was average because he shot too much when he made consecutive baskets. In games where he spread the ball around, shot only when open, and played smart, he was an excellent player, and in my mind with the way Paul played last year for good reason, he was better than Pierce.. He's just got to learn, and thats what hes doing this offseason with all the camps and time hes putting into his game. Shut up, Pierce isn't going anywhere. He's got his coach he wanted, the Celtics have zero bad contracts with Baker no longer being on the team, and they are a year or two away from being a good team. You know, you remind me of Dr. Jack.. old, useless and knows completely nothing about what hes talking about, go back to ESPN.com or whatever useless crap you read, because frankly you know nothing.. I am still in shock about the O'brien comment, wow yer a f***in joke.
  5. White Sox get: Rocky Biddle, Tony Armas Expos get: average prospect Both of these guys are available very cheap, and i think they could be the cheap alternative to helping this team now while still allowing us to acquire some help come July 31st. Rotoworld has already said Biddle is available for close to nothing, and Armas with the type of money he's making, is definitly available. This seems like the much better option than going out and acquiring Garcia for the entire future, or Benson who is now being rumored to cost even Reed. Rocky Biddle could come back to the southside, either be our closer replacing Koch, or our middle reliever/set-up man for either Shingo or Marte. Armas allows us to have an innings eater, and if healthy a very solid number 5 option. Take it for what its worth, just something that sparked in my head while reading how easily obtainable Rocky Biddle is.
  6. I saw him play the last two summers in the Cape, and I really think he's a better hitter than pitcher, but hey what do i know ;o
  7. He's too big to be a pitcher I think.. He's got the Frank Thomas mold and I can't see someone in that mold being a pitcher..
  8. Wes Whisler's amazing, i saw this kid play in the Cape League for my Yarmouth Dennis Red Sox.. The guy has Big Frank like power, and a good stroke. I could see him being a 275-30-100 man in the majors for a long time.
  9. does anyone know who the Red Sox got at 65?
  10. we'll know when he signs.. if he signs he's playing baseball, if he doesnt sign hes playing football.
  11. how are you getting updates so quickly
  12. well this makes sense.. I suggest trading a bad reliever and a bad catcher for an average prospect and you flame me with this ridiculous offer.. :headshake
  13. I think he just came out of his start early because of a blister...
  14. definitly happy birthday my freind..
  15. Castro and Redman just haven't cut it from the catching position, and to put it in perspective they've sunk as low as looking at Gregg Zaun.. wunsch and burke works, hopefully KW looks into it.
  16. both were actually drafted as small forwards, and were only drafted after the Celtics got screwed out of Duncan, and because Pitino wanted some Kentucky guys. Lafrentz was considered a power forward all along, and the real man of that deal was Jiri Welsch, but without Lafrentz' 9 million dollar contract, it was impossible to pull off. ahh, another one of them Ricky Davis is a bad person because of one triple double incident.. if you've been paying attention to his entire career, you'd realize that besides that one dumb mistake he made, he's done nothing but good for both the teams he's played for, and the community that the team is from. Ricky's involved with Read to Achieve and is huge around Boston with schools along with Paul Pierce. Not many, but alot of that has to be blamed on the fact that Rick Pitino was just not a professional coach and his style of coaching did not belong at the NBA level. The last few years have definitly gotten better, especially last year drafting Marcus Banks whose got a ton of upside, along with Kendrick Perkins who reminds people of Zach Randolph, and Brandon Hunter in the second round which shows Danny knows how to draft. Overall, yes the Celtics have been a dumb organization in the 90's but with the turn of the century, we've seen better drafting, smarter signings, and good all around moves that show this team is going in the right direction. Drafting Paul Pierce, acquiring Raef Lafrentz and Jiri Welsch for Antoine Walker, while completely stealing Ricky Davis and Chris Mihm from the Cavs. The good definitly outweighs the bad, and its clear your a basketball guy, and you know your stuff, but to say that the Celtics are a dumb organization as a whole is off based.
  17. Yea, exactly. :fyou Western Conference!
  18. ...I can't remember one oversized small forward/undersized power forward in the last 3+ years... who are you thinking of?
