QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 03:07 AM) http://sonsofsamhorn.net/index.php?showtopic=1036&st=980 Told ya so. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That guy isn't intelligent. Just like every White Sox fan isn't gods gift to mankind, neither is every Red Sox fan. That guy's funny haha.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 03:02 AM) Yankees - Robinson Cano, .297, .775 OPS for a rookie isn't bad Blue Jays - Hudson, .270 .725 or so, but probably the best defensive 2Bman starting in the AL Twins - Cuddyer(should be their 2Bman, but due to injuries, was forced to play 3B) KC traded him, so you can't really count them Seattle - Lopez and Betancourt...considering the situation they are in, that's what they should do Anaheim - Kennedy is about the same Graff Giants - Durham hit .290 and a .356 OBP, along with a .785 OPS is solid as hell Dbacks - Counsell/Cintron - Counsell only hit .256, but a .350 OBP...Cintron also hit .292 or so with a mediocre OPS Padres - Mark Loretta? Hit .335 last year? .865 OPS? Rockies - Luis Gonzalez hit .292 and a .753 OPS, which is also very solid Cards - Grudzielanek hit .294 with a .741 OPS...again, solid Astros - Biggio was the 2Bman all year for the most part...hit .264 with 26 homers and a .794 OPS. I'd take that over Graffanino too Reds - Ryan Freel put up .271, a .372 OBP, along with a .743 OPS...36 steals is decent too Brewers - Considering how young he is, and considering that he hit .239, a .727 OPS is pretty damn solid. Pirates - Sanchez, Wigginton, Hill...this is perhaps one team that could have, but the Pirates are similar to Seattle in that you really don't want a journeyman utility infielder starting at 2B for you Washington - Jose Vidro...no explanation needed Need I mention that this has been, by far, the best year of Graffanino's career. Graffanino would start in very few places...and if he's starting anywhere next year, I'll be surprised as hell. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good post. You have the right to your opinion.
-
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 03:12 AM) When he goes back to his career norms next season, you won't like him as much and neither will the Red Sox. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's been a class act and a contributor his entire career. I'll like him equally as I do now.
-
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 03:08 AM) The point remains that Graffy won't be starting next year in Boston <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The point remains it won't be because of the error tonight.
-
QUOTE(Texsox @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 03:03 AM) Seriously, why not post there instead of trolling here? There are Red Sox message boards? :headshake <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I post on another Red Sox board, and I post here. Stop talking... :headshake
-
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 03:05 AM) No, he won't be tendered a contract because the Red Sox have a gazillion dollars and will not have a mediocre 2Bman back next year. The error won't help him though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> money won't be a factor. Dustin Pedroia, making the league minimum, will be the starting second baseman next season. Of course Hanley Ramirez is another option.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:54 AM) Just remember, if he were on the White Sox he'd be a starter. Ignore the defense, he'd be our best hitter. :rolly <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's made two errors, if im remembering correctly including tonight, since joining the Red Sox. This quote has been disected, explained, etc. in every which way. Seriously, get some new material.
-
I hope you're not saying he won't be tendered a contract because the error tonight...

QUOTE(The Bones @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:41 AM) It says Mother F'in by the way not motherf***in'. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah yes, I must have read it to quickly.. or maybe I mixed it up with the Game Winner thread from the other day.
-
QUOTE(mr_genius @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:41 AM) Well, I'm sure you can go post somewhere esle that isn't "pathetic". sore loser <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like a lot of people on here, and it provides some laughs at times like this. I won't leave, deal with it.
-
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:40 AM) Heck, atleast when I quote you(like in my sig), I quote you right. It's Mother F'in and it's winner, not win. It's a reference to the famous John Rooney call. I thought you would know that by now since you do claim to be a White Sox fan. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can't wait until the search feature comes back.
-
I know Graffanino is having a career year, but he's always had a rather good on-base percenage, and been an above average player at a position that lacks them. As for the front page. leave it to ESPN...

where are you finding this crap?
-
QUOTE(qwerty @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:34 AM) Get use to it... happens to every team we face. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm definitly used to it by now, qwert. I feel bad for you guys, because even if the White Sox in me is only secondary, its embarrassing seeing the crap that constantly floods this board. A post on the front page with "AND THATS A MOTHERf***ING WHITE SOX WIN." Pathetic.
-
AP: “I didn't get a good read on it. I just took my eye off it. I just flat out missed it,” Graffanino said.< “If you are going to point a finger, you point it at me,” Wells said.<

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:14 AM) Knowing the idiot red sox fans will be makes it that much sweeter. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> For the record, I am not crying.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:26 AM) I haven't read all 70 pages of this thread but I've read the last few pages and no matter what message board I was on, I wouldn't want other posters give me crap about my team. The Red Sox are a very good team, but in Game 2, they should've won it, we got lucky with Tony's play and best of all, we made him pay for it. I'm not saying anyone is making fun of redandwhite but we should resist in talking crap about the Red Sox. This series isn't over yet. And with what redandwhite is saying, it's probably understandable. I hate it when my teams lose and I personally take offense to any comment about them. Once again I don't know all of what's been said but just outta respect for a fellow poster, I'm not gonna put his team down or anything. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> put them down all you want, they've played terrible in these two games. It's the: "f*** THE MOTHERf***ING RED SOX, THEY'RE ALL PUSSIES AND s*** AND LIKE THEYRE GAY AND STUFF AND I MEAN THERE JUST REALLY GAY ...that gets me going, mostly because of how pathetic it makes that person look and how if White Sox fans are poking fun of Red Sox fans for faulting something about US Cellular Field, god knows what Red Sox fans are thinking about White Sox fans with the immaturity that continues on this board.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:17 AM) Tony G a starting 2Bman on many teams? You have got to be f***ing kidding me. This guy was picked up by the White Sox and used as a utility IF because he COULDN'T start. Tony Graffanino is a starter on 2 teams...KC and Boston. Quit drinking the Red Sox kool-aid and look at things objectively. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> where wouldnt he start (just off the top of my head)? - Cantu in Tampa - Roberts in Baltimore - Belliard in Cleveland - Iguchi in Chicago - Polanco in Detroit - Soriano in Texas - Ellis in Oakland - Kent in LA - Utley in Philly - Walker in Chicago - Castillo in Florida - Giles in Atlanta - Reyes in New York add to the list if you'd like, but i have him starting on about half the teams in the major leagues, which to me is "many."
-
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:19 AM) Whether I think so or not? I already said that I like Tony G. in my previous posts. And it won't just be the media spinning it that way. It will also be Red Sox fans. Many of them will blame Tony G. if the White Sox win the series. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Any knowledgable Red Sox fan, and there quite a few whether you believe it or not, won't place all if any blame on Graffanino.
-
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:14 AM) What part of "no name-calling is allowed" do you not get? But thanks. You're making me enjoy the win even more. Knowing the idiot red sox fans will be makes it that much sweeter. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not crying. I don't think anyones crying. Infact, even though I am dissapointed in the Red Sox performance as a team, I am not nearly as worried as I was last year in the ALCS. I didn't call you any names in that post, only in the original post and i've already stated I think you deserved it.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:13 AM) Some posters at SoSH just posted this pic in regards to the Tony G. play... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v82/jrs362/tg.gif Seems like Tony G. is going to be Bill Buckner Part 2 if the White Sox win this series. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Far different circumstances, although the media might spin it as such. Error or not, he wouldnt be back next year. He's a starting second baseman on many teams in this league, whether you think so or not, but the Red Sox have a plethora of options in the infield next season.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:04 AM) You might of been with balta, but you definitely weren't joking with sleepy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was a stupid post, he deserved it. I'm sure he'll get over it.
-
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:05 AM) TONY GRAFFANINO WOULD BE A STARTER ON THIS TEAM!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Red Sox don't make the playoffs without Graffanino. Take it for what its worth. Fathom, since you seem to have a good idea of whats suspension worthy around here, what do you consider this?
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:04 AM) Red Sox have a better chance of winning this series than Parque would of getting Bonds out. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Two years ago I learned my lesson. I always keep faith.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 02:01 AM) You go around calling quality posters like sleepy and balta turds...and you're going to be in more trouble than Jim Parque facing Barry Bonds with the bases loaded. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> balta's my man, i was joking. relax.
