QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ May 4, 2005 -> 01:33 PM) Concern isn't condeming people for not going to baseball games, while simultaniously not going to the games yourself. Plus when it is done ad naseum it gets, well, nauseating. People will go to games when the conditions are right for them. Having a daily thread knocking people for not going to games is BS, when the people starting the threads aren't going to games. Alright, first off, I've never started an attendance thread. Secondly, I've never seriously complained in any way about attendance related stuff. So there are my cop outs before I start... But, if I was to start some sort of attendance thread and complain in some way (albeit hopefully a more original and thought-provoking way than is the usual fashion around here), would I get b****ed out for not going to games even though I live in southeastern Virginia? Not that I give half a s*** if someone b****es me out on a mindless internet message board, but anyway, it just came to my mind that the whole "you don't go to any games, so shut the f- up about attendance" arguement sometimes makes sense, but usually doesn't if the person posting lives hundreds or more miles away form Chicago.

GIT'R'DUN, win #20 on May 4th! -
John Kruk is fat and slow and stupid and ugly and might have been drunk, oh sorry, that's when he SUCKED ASS playing for the White Sox. WHO IN THE MOTHERf*** CARES ABOUT FATASS KRUK! :finger

I wasn't at the game LOL so I ain't getting involved in the attendance b****fest, I was 800 miles away being cold while working at another baseball game (Durham @ Norfolk). But they have a MLB scoreboard in right field at Harbor Park here, (in front of a large body of water) and when I saw the White Sox take the lead in the 8th I nearly dumped beer on my score sheets I was so happy. I'm sure this is in other threads, or maybe in this one and I just didn't read everything close enough, but that gives the White Sox the ALL-TIME major league record for having a lead in the most games to begin a season at 26. THAT IS f***ING SWEET f***AHS! That's ALL-TIME, as in, it's NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BIATCHES!

Just a cherry on top of this entire month. f***ing awesome Jon G. SAAWEEET!

if we are still in first place at deadline
gettysburg32 replied to soxfan420's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Too early to say, it all depends on injuries in my book. The most probable guess right now (and one that a few others here have already mentioned) is an experienced bat that would be most useful late in the year as in clutch pinch hit type situations, especially given Frank's uncertain situation. But injuries will tell the story as we go, no real way to speculate right now. -
Ichiro and Pujols as the best all around hitters. Pitchers: Buerhle Peavy Maddux back with Braves, but not now.

When are we going to sell out a game?

QUOTE(cubbiesssuck2005 @ May 1, 2005 -> 10:00 AM) ???? ???? QUOTE(cubbiesssuck2005 @ May 1, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) Why do 37,000 + go to all there games? The white sox are the best team in basebal and no one goes the there games? Why is that? I smell something funny. Welcome cubbiessuck2005, for now. -
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 30, 2005 -> 05:20 PM) He's like a better fielding and speedier Joe Borchard without the bat. How's that for a comparison? Congratulations, I stopped reading the rest of this thread after this one. :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke :puke

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 11:22 PM) Darrin Jackson said Willie was trying to hit a home run, that does not mean he was actually trying to do it. He was trying to drive the ball. What do you want a hitter to do? Not try and hit the ball hard, lay down a bunt with 1 out and AJP on first base? What besides for hit the ball hard is Harris supposed to do? SB I fully admit it's damn easy to say, and damn hard to do, but how about not dropping your back shoulder and not yanking your head like a 13-year old screwing around playing HR derby on a little league field? OK I'll stop blaming Willie, cause if we do lose tonight, there's plenty of unfortunateness to go around.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 29, 2005 -> 11:17 PM) Willie trying to swing for the fences is pretty disgusting man. :puke I'm not a Willie basher by any means, but you're damn right with that. And even more gross is DJ saying s*** like, "you know, if Willie turns on something he can drive it out, and he just missed that one." SHUT UP! :puke

Rack 'em up, 9-3 on a hit & run

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 27, 2005 -> 12:52 AM) This is honestly funny when you think about it. After all the breaks we've made and created this season, to have nearly everything go wrong that possibly can is very ironic. And (at the moment) it's still tied.
