IMO the Marlins are the best team in the NL. Once Burnett and Beckett are at full strength they'll be next to unstoppable. You basically have to hold them to three runs or less or they'll be in every game. I also believe they'll grab a bullpen arm or two at the deadline and maybe another bat. This team could feasibly win another WS and it's sad because Florida doesn't care (just look at their attendance this year).

Been watching the whole game...just figured I'd drop in and share a couple of things that I've noticed throughout the game (may have been mentioned already): 1) Timo Perez is obviously part of "Ozzie's Crew." Along with Valentin, this guy will get every shot to prove how terrible he is. I don't care if he has two hits or whatever tonight....He shouldn't start on a good team. EVER. 2) Beckett/Pavano/Burnett = 3 huge examples of why the Sox need a veteran LH bat. Any right handed pitcher that is somewhat above average completely dominates this team. 3) Dontrelle Willis can hit. 4) Este is really keeping us in this game, good start for him and hopefully he can keep it up this year. 5) With that being said...he probably should have been PH for when he came up w/1st and 2nd and no one out. The Marlins play some agressive d against pitchers and that was a prime opportunity wasted. Why not PH Harris there to bunt and put him in for Timo? That's just a few things I've noticed and bet you have too...hopefully we can pull this one out.

It doesn't really matter if Wunsch is situational...what he does he's damn good at. Marte, Politte, Shingo all can go against both sides, so why not use Wunsch against a half of an inning w/2 Lefties coming up?

It's not any kind of "ball" persay...it's just not giving up. Nobody called the way Pena's team played last year "PenaBall", they just had the never say die attitude. To use the word ball means to give a word a certain connotation associated with the term. "Ball" IMO is the philosophy you use to score runs, play defense, etc. has really nothing to do with attitude.

FYI, wunsch was one of a select group of relievers that had an OAA (left handed batters) that was below .200. He KILLS lefties.

I'm rather sick of Hawk and his Ozzie grandstanding though. A Homerun isn't "Ozzieball" nor is Ozzie the reason Timo parked it. For pete's sake Hawk give it a rest.
