  1. Christ, we'd be talking bunt here..
  2. Mike Lowell's first Interleague hit this year I believe.
  3. Cotts? Just maybe? I mean come on...Jackson is marginal at best and in a GOOD bullpen he should be getting Adkins type of work.
  4. Btw, why is Mike Jackson pitching the 8th in a 1 run game.
  5. Actually his stat line is quite misleading. Burnett was actually the most highly touted pitcher in the Marlins system...higher than Beckett. The guy has electric stuff even after tommy john surgery. You could almost expect him to shut us down, a hard tossing right handed pitcher. It just goes to show how bad we need a GOOD left handed bat in the lineup.
  6. Boy do I love music as well... My favorite stuff can be summed in the punk/emo/scream-o scene. Just a couple albums I particularly enjoy. Taking Back Sunday- "Tell All Your Friends" Brand New- "Deja Entendu" (quite possibly my favorite cd) Death Cab For Cutie- "Transatlanticism" (these guys are amazing, I reccommend ANY of their stuff) Thursday- "Full Collapse" (better than their other album "War all the time" IMO) Dashboard Confessional- Any of their albums are pretty good...their MTV2 unplugged set is my fav. Very good chill music. Yellowcard- "Ocean Avenue" (GREAT Album) So ya that's just a few, but I encourage you to check some of them out...very good stuff.
  7. Are you guys crazy? Fenway Franks are disgusting! The dudes that sell them have to lug around this huge tub of hot water that they are boiled in and they don't even put them in a bun! They just slap it on a couple of buns or whatever bread they have laying around The Sox have the best dogs...easily. A kosher dog off the grill is the greatest thing at the Cell, I urge you to reconsider.
  8. I've been to quite a few myself. My family and I are avid baseball fans so each year we head to a new park or two for "quick" vacations. This year Philly and San Diego are on tap. As for my favorites I'll give it a whirl: Favorite "new" park: SBC Park (aka Pac Bell Park) I went to this one a couple years back, when it was still Pac Bell, and this place amazed me. Great food, great sights, and a damn good place to watch a baseball game to boot. Plus it was only a dollar (round trip) to take the subway from our hotel to right in front of the stadium. Purely an amazing place, a must see if you love ballparks. Honorable "new" park Mention: Camden Yards The first "retro" ballpark and quite frankly the best. I went to this one when I was a bit younger, but I still remember it. It really is as great as people say. Favorite "old" park: Fenway Park Red Sox Nation can sure be obnoxious at times but boy are they into the game. The whole 9 innings everyone was quite conscious of the game situation and it showed. I especially liked the fact that Yawkey Way is closed off to cars and such, this is really something the White Sox should consider doing to 35th street. It creates a great atmosphere outside the ballpark. The only bad thing about Fenway was the hot dogs, they were awful! Maybe it's just because I'm spoiled w/real hot dogs at USCF. Honorable "old" park mention: Yankee Stadium The bronx is well....the bronx. Decent food, great sights w/an enormous amount of history. This is one of those places you just have to go at least once if you love basbeall...the monuments are a must see. It's in a terrible spot but eh it's New York what do you expect. So yea that's my two cents on ballparks.
  9. Flash, if he were to get the call against A.Jones this would only be a two run game...I think giving up only two runs is pitching pretty well. Granted he didn't get the call, but some of this stuff has been bad defense/bad umpiring...you can't put it all on him
  10. With all due respect to the Braves' lineup, Schoe has pitched a lot better than the scoreboard would indicate.
  11. Wright is DEALING. I guess it's going to be harder to catch up than i thought.
  12. Leadoff walk to crede...let's get it started!
  13. Plenty of time for some runs people...we do play at Coors Field (the midwest edition).
  14. Konerko knocks Furcal on his ASS. Damn that ball was hit hard...however it's just another tough out.
  15. OK 2-run deficit...we can defintely deal w/that. Let's go Offense!
  16. This team needs to work on rundowns during BP or something. Their rundowns are always UGLY.
  17. 2-0 Braves. 1st and 3rd 2 outs. Come on Schoe shut em down
  18. Wow, anyone outside of Willie probably would have beaten Franco home by a TON. Harris is def not a CF.
  19. well koch did one good thing tonight...saved me time because now I don't have to watch the rest of this game.
