I agree. The point is that he's better the Burke... Like I said a trade is obviously the best option but if a trade isn't going to happen I would much rather see Davis then Burke.

Davis is a solid defensive catcher and right now barring a trade I think that Davis is a better option then Burke. I think that by the end of the year Davis will hit .150 +. Considering there is no way the Burke does any better and since Davis is head and shoulders above Burke defensively why not give the kid a shot. Any thoughts?

Lets just get Jason Kendal and get it over with... We all know we want him.... Maybe they could throw in Jose Mesa though... Definately an upgrade over Jackson.

I still think that Wilson Alverez could be a solid 5th starter and he'd give us a lefty in the rotation. As long as he doesn't have any bad blood with Ozzie then I can't see it being that bad of a move.

It gives us some insurance in case Maggs continues to be greedy and refuses to sign a fair contract. He can play a fairly decent RF. I'd trust him alot more in RF then CF.

Diaz has a much brighter future as a starting pitcher. The kid has fantastic control. Tons more upside then Rauch. I don't care if he was 6'11. He had no future here period.

Please two months ago we would of been lucky to have gotten a bag of balls for Rauch. He had no future here and we got Everett cheap.

A 6'11 guy who tops out at like 93 MPH. We're not exactly talking the next Randy Johnson here. I hope he's successful but he had no future here. You have to realize that GM's are not stupid. They knew KW was shopping Rauch. You don't get top value when you are that down on a player.

Exactly the guy is a headcase. I hope he becomes successful but he kind of sealed his own fate. He had no future in the Sox organization and now we have a cheap player who can help us down the stretch and maybe even next year...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Carl has at least 10 Hr's for the Sox by the end of the year... As long as he can hit .270+ in a sox uniform and draw some walks i'll be happy. He doesn't need to hit HR's to be valuable offensively.
