  1. Seriously Pasqua I think you need to get a grip. I was pissed and depressed last night and maybe even sounded worse then you but by now you should of had plenty of time to come to your senses. The season is not over and there in plenty of time left. We'll see in a few weeks if you still feel the same way
  2. I think it just seems that way. Our pitching hasn't done that bad. They all gave up 4 runs and managed to keep us in the game. Thats all we can expect of them against a solid team like the twins. Thats when our offense needs to step up. Hopefully this is a wake up call.
  3. I disagree with you. At our worst we are not a sub .500 team. Maybe an even .500 team but not a sub .500 team by any means. I think that we have the talent to win this division.
  4. Boy am I this bad... :headshake Seriously dude lighten up it's not over. We have way too much talent on this team to just give up. Remember the twins have a hard road ahead and we have plenty of time to catch up. Also we don't need an 80 Million dollar payroll either and signing big name free agents haven't guarunteed some teams anything. Just take a look at the Dodgers, Cubs, Red Sox. Etc.
  5. All I can say is that it's about time... When it comes right down to it when I see Willie Harris come up then I see him working the count and looking at pitches. He may not have the power but at least when you have Willie up you know that he doesn't have to drive the ball. All he has to do is just get it on the ground and he has a shot. However I think Ozzie got down on him because there was alot of pressure on him to be an agressive base stealer and he couldn't live up to the hype put on him. However even without him stealing bases I still feel alot about better seeing Willie come to the plate because at least I know we're seeing a guy who is not afraid to just go for a basehit instead of a guy who went from a being a rising superstar to a disappointment in the matter of 3 months all because he wanted to have himself become some kind of a power hitter.
  6. I'm not meaning this is a totally negative thread but for us to have a legitimate shot it's becoming clear that Ozzie needs to start learning from his mistakes. The one that really bugs me is in the 7th inning. He pinch hits Aaron Rowand and Joe Borchard to come out and face the lefty. In my opinion thats a brilliant move. The part that bugs me is that instead of leaving Aaron Rowand in, the more established hitter who has more experience and is hitting .300, leaves in a Rookie like Joe Borchard. I know that I might be in the minority here but I honestly believe that in Rowand is left in the game then the 9th inning might of come out differently. Most of his other mistakes have come from just making the lineups. I don't understand why he chose today to put Willie Harris in CF. I know AROW needed a day off but I would rather see Borch getting a chance to start then continuing to have our 2B out of position. I hope that today was a sign that Ozzie is learning his lesson about putting Jose in the 2 hole. Timo Perez did a good job today and was one of the sole reasons the game was as close as it was. I'm not giving up the season yet by any means but I had to vent this somewhere. GO SOX! To the Tigers...
  7. Maybe we need to forward this thread to Ozzie then. I don't know how it can be so obvious to us and still not have had a change made. I honestly think Jose would even do better lower in the order... :headshake
  8. Something is just bothering me about the offense lately. Jose is the definition of a streaky player. He either strikes out or hits a HR. Jose in the two hole is killing our offense. How many successful teams have a #2 hole hitter hitting in the .230 range... I'm sure that their aren't too many. What makes this even more insane is when you have a hot hitter who keeps getting on base hitting well over .300 that keeps being throw into the 7th spot so when he has gotten on base he has been left on base by the likes of Joe Crede and Jamie Burke. I'd sure as hell rather have him on for Carlos Lee and Paul Konerko. and for all you people who say Jose is "clutch" remember that he can hit the same clutch HR in the 7th spot (and would be more likely to have someone on base). So can one person give a good reason for why Jose remains our 2 hitter...
  9. Well at least we won't have to deal with that annoying half game thing...
  10. I think that this team needs alot of changes. First off Jose in the 2 hole is killing us... He's hitting .238 or something right now. We need to have Willie leading off and AROW in the 2 hole. Let Jose have his occasional HR in the 7 spot. He need people who will do the little things to try and get on base. I'm really trying to remain realistic here but if Ozzie insists on using his boy in a spot where he is obviously hurting this team then there is not more as fans we can do. If AROW is back in the 7 hole tommarrow I will be really pissed
  11. No matter what you think of Pro Westling the guy is still a great athelete. He is extremely quick for his size. He may not set the NFL on fire but I think he will be a decent LB or DB or whatever he wants to do... rolleyeyes.gif
  12. For those of us who can't see what exactly happened?
  13. :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :headshake :headshake :headshake :headshake :headshake :headshake :headshake
  14. This is so depressing. Makes me want to strangle ozzie and that jerk off Crede
  15. I'm glad I can't see this game because I couldn't bear to watch my beloved Sox swept and have our season killed...
  16. :banghead Lets just realize it's over. Ozzie failed and our players (except for Aaron Rowand) have no heart and hustle and the only one that does have it has to deal with the vendetta of the manager against him... :headshake
  17. I really don't think we can recover from this. The Twins are just too good and they will have no problem beating all comers. If we continue to play like this the Tigers and Indians will feast on us and we'll be lucky to wind up in 4th place... I know I sound over dramatic but It really depresses me to get swept by the twins (Elo is a lost cause, this was our only shot to avoid the sweep) :puke
  18. No we need to rebuild and get ready for next year. The fact is that this is a second place team that can't win s***. I'm just sickened and depressed but I guess reality can do that to ya :puke I need to lay down...
  19. Ohh well I guess it's over. Elo sucks so the sweep was ensured tonight. Ohh well I guess we should be used to being a second place team by now...
  20. Aaron not only needs to be in the top of the order but the fate of our team rests on it. AROW at 1,2 = 1st place AROW at 7th hole = 3rd Place
  21. I saw a quote in the paper where he said that he was "just doing his job" and that he was trying to shake the ball loose from Burke. From the damn replay you could see that Burke was standing well in front of home plate towand the pitchers round and there was no excuse for that even happening. Ozzie should be fired for saying that if one of our players did that he would be "high fiveing his players." Just makes me puke all around :puke
  22. I know most of you know that Aaron is one of my favorite players (with Willie Harris being the other one) but my biased aside I think I proved my point that I made last night. I said after we lost to the Tigers that if we didn't put Aaron at the top of the order then I didn't like our chances and we were setting ourself up for failure. Jose may be clutch with an occasional HR but he can do the same damn thing in the 7th spot. We need someone who will get on base and thats AROW. Sometimes I think Ozzie carries some kind of grudge against him. :headshake
  23. I just want to get my two cents in here. The guy proved he is a thug with no class (so I don't know why he's not playing for the Indians.) What goes around comes around but I don't want to hit him. Lets take care of it on the field.
  24. This was just depressing. Of course AROW does us no good stuck in the 7th hole. He's hitting .310+ why isn't he at the top of the order...
