  1. I'm addicted to Chinese Buffet and it's killing me financially. I just can't stop myself. I have to have it like 3 times a week.
  2. I have no idea what your talking about :rolly
  3. You mean thats not going to happen
  4. I actually don't mind Jose at DH. Call me crazy but he does get lucky once in awhile and at least he's out of the field. Because Ozzie has some kind of a man crush on him anyway so you know he'll play somewhere.
  5. Willie Harris - Very impressed in his first full year. If anyone would of said in the offseason that he would hit .260+ and have almost a .350 OBP at this point in the year they would of been nuts. He proved them wrong. AROW- Finally showed why I, and a few other people, had so much faith is his ability to be a top CF. Jose Valentin- Awful Joe Borchard-I didn't have an opinion on him coming into this year. He's worthless and he's dead weight. No hope. Joe Crede-He's regressed badly. Hopefully he can get back on track. At least has shown flashes of Quality in the past. Jon Garland-Has been able to consistantly give up 3 or 4 ER's most starts. His few bad starts have really hurt him numbers wise though.
  6. The thing that really bothers me about Juan is that he seems to want to be the next Sammy Sosa. His swing reminds me of Sammy's, his stance reminds me of Sammy's, his whole approach to the game reminds me of Sammy's. The problem with that is :sosasucks If he could learn to harness some control and lay off some of those bad pitches he could be one of the best offensive SS's in the game. I'm just not sure I see that happening.
  7. I'm not going to do a whole big long thing but... MIAMI DOLPHINS WIN THE SUPERBOWL
  8. My guess would be trade Carl. Even if it's like the Koch deal it would still be addition by subtraction. I'm sure KW has a plan though to win us a World Series next year
  9. Well then it becomes a question of what you would rather have. A great defensive second basemen with a ton of range or new blood at the SS position.
  10. That is certainly strange. What confuses me though is that if these were in fact sent by inmates, aren't the prisons supposed to inspect all outgoing mail. Something tells me that these we're sent from within a prison.
  11. :puke That is such a sick story. I hope they still use firing guards there.
  12. I love that idea. It does without saying that the longer Willie plays CF everyday the more he will improve at that position. He should just play winterball as a CF this year. I think that it's not as far out a scenario as some would think.
  13. I don't know if I like Carl in RF either. My only real problem with it is the guy can't even run slightly wrong without getting himself hurt and on the bench for a few games. He might even be worse then Juan Gone. Maybe if he could prove that he could come to camp in shape and ready to play the field like he used too, and thats a big if, then I would take a chance on him. Let him, Joe Borchard, and Alex Escobar fight it out. If Carl can't get the job done trade him for someone who needs a decent DH.
  14. I'm sorry but I can't agree with that either. AROW does work his ass off but it doesn't mean he doesn't have talent. He might never hit 50 HR's but he is sure as hell better talent wise then a 4th Outfielder. I think Escobar could be exactly what we need if he applies himself and gets the right coaching. Rowand was there the last few years and kept being screwed over by management (although that dirtbike accident didn't help any).
  15. How many times have we heard this about AROW. He'll never be any better then a forth outfielder. The kid is cheap, he has real talent (unlike Joe Borchard), and why not give the kid a shot. It's not like we have anything to lose. I think that over a full year he could easily hit .270 plus and hit at least 25+ Hr's. Thats more then good enough for me. In 2003 with 99 at bats he hit .273 with 5 HR's. I think that giving the right coaching we could really have something on our hands. Plus he's only 26 years old.
  16. The guards usually make it a point to spread the word. Believe me people find out. Especially if it's kids or young people involved.
  17. 1. Yes 2. Never, I'm just a thin guy so not much to flex. 3. Used to before I had a girlfriend, now I have someone to take care of that for me 4. Why not? 5. Yes I have actually. 4 pieces isn't a real serving size.
  18. It makes you sick that there are people like this in the world. :puke If it were up to me I'd pour gasoline all over there balls and then light them on fire. Raping them isn't strong enough they need to be castrated as well.
  19. No That money is gone. It was spent on Garcia's three year deal and on Contreas. We might sign one SP and one bullpen arm but I don't we will be about to afford two starters and a 3B with more talent then Crede. My lineup has him batting 8th. I keep him for his glove and his power potential. Hell Troy Glaus batted something like .230 one year and they didn't get rid of him.
  20. Right so then we have to find 3 major league starters instead of just one... :headshake
  21. Yeah I am. However I go want to cut the dead weight, Jose Valentin, Joe Bustard. We we're on the right track before Frank got hurt. I think that we would have a whole different opinion of this team if frank was still in it.
  22. I'm not sure it's a good idea for Frank to be playing 1B anyway. If i'm not mistaken didn't he get hurt playing 1B?
  23. My Lineup for 05' 2B- Willie Harris (Has already well exceeded expectations in his first full year of playing time. His OBP is great.) CF- Aaron Rowand DH- Frank Thomas (No way can the Sox give up on him. He is the White Sox. He will be back.) LF- Carlos Lee 1B- Paul Konerko RF- Alex Escobar- We got the kid. I think people forget how much potential he really has. Give him a shot. SS- Juan Uribe 3B- Joe Crede C- Ben Davis Bench: OF- Timo Perez- Has been the best clutch player on the team all year. Not only that Ozzie has a man crush on him. 1B/OF- Ross Gload- Great Bat off the bench. Great Glove at 1B. Good Glove in LF. Just don't let him into RF :rolly . C- Jamie Burke- Way too Valuable too this team off the bench. Knows all of our AAA talent and how to get the best out of them. Utl- Wilson Valdez-Might as well give the kid a shot. Starters: Freddy Garcia Mark Buherle Jose Contreas Jon Garland Felix Diaz Bullpen: LR- Jason Grilli MR- Jon Adkins MR- Neil Cotts SU- Damaso Marte SU- Cliff Politte SU/CL - Jeff Bajenaru SU/CL- Shingo Takasu
