  1. Rowand most obviously. Even when it should of been obvious to even a first grader that the guy would become great people still bashed him.
  2. Exactly. I'm sick of these people that are blaming guys like Uribe and Harris for this season going down the toliet. For god sakes they both far exceeded most peoples expectations of what they would do in the offseason. For example most people thought Willie would hit about .210 and have an OBP of about the same. Instead he is batting .260+ with an OBP of about .340 in limited playing time. Thats not that bad for a guy who because of Ozzies ineptness only gets to play maybe twice a week. I don't blame him for not stealing more bases because if I was in that much fear for my job then I wouldn't try to do too much either. Noone can score from 1st better then Willie though. The point is that Willie and Juan shouldn't have been expected to make up the slack from Mags and Frank. We need to face reality. Joe Crede is a #8 hitter. Could we survive with that with a healthy Frank and Maggs? YES! Can we survive with that without Frank and Maggs and losers like Jose hitting .200? NO! If we stood pat this would be our: 2005 starting lineup: CF- Aaron Rowand SS- Juan Uribe DH- Frank Thomas 1B- Paul Konerko LF- Carlos Lee RF- Carl Everett/Alex Escobar/Joe Borchard C- Ben Davis/Jamie Burke 3B- Joe Crede 2B- Willie Harris Bench: Timo Perez-OF Wilson Valdez-IF Ross Gload-1B/OF Starting Rotation: Freddy Garcia Mark Buherle Jose Contreras Jon Garland Jason Grilli Bullpen: Felix Diaz-Long Relief Neil Cotts- Long Relief Jon Adkins- Middle Relief Damaso Marte-Setup Cliff Politte- Setup Shingo Takasu- Setup/Closer Jeff Bajenaru- Setup/Closer That isn't that bad of a lineup. Especially considering we would have a 4 solid decent starters the entire year. Add a top of the rotation starter to that, bump Jon to 5th and we really have something good here.
  3. I notice Mike Caruso is gone. Does anyone know where he went...?
  4. If Ozzie doesn't make Uribe the starting SS and Harris the starting 2B then he is a f***ing idiot. They are great defensively and Harris would end up being the #9 hitter. Seriously he would have something wrong with him if he's too stupid to see that.
  5. Jose only stikes out 1/3 of the time... Thats news to me... More like 3/4's of the time.
  6. I saw him in person this week and it made me think...how could a guy who seems so articulate be such a dumbass... I just hate that hypocritical son of a b****... :fyou ALAN KEYES!
  7. I'm just glad we finally won again. I wish it meant something more but ohh well. AROW is an allstar...
  8. It is weird they are only going to take the weekends off. Those crazy Japanese...
  9. Wake up for golf... Why would I do that... After 15 Mins i'd be back asleep on the couch...
  10. Paul Konerko has a fantasic glove at 1B. What about that makes him a DH?
  11. I wouldn't write them off that easily. That team has something special going for it. Besides there is no way in hell that the Dodger's or Braves are going to be able to beat them in the playoff's. The Cubs are owned by them. The only team that might even be legit competition is the Yankees and I don't even see them outlasting them.
  12. Ohh well i'm glad he's here. I think over a full season he is going to really be a big part of our team.
  13. The better ? is how could anyone agree with Ozzie's lineups.
  14. I'm sorry but the Cardinals are going to Win the series and honestly I can't think of a better team to do it. They are a class organization with class players. They are going to crush the Yankees this year.
  15. The fact remains is that Joe Crede has been an effective major league third basemen before. When he first came up he was nothing like he is right now. The fact is that he has regressed badly. I don't know if laziness is to blame. I don't know what it is. The fact is that I think with a good kick in the butt I think that he can turn it around.
  16. This really should be in the sports bar. Maggilo Ordonez is no long a member of the White Sox. He had his chance to stay and he pissed on it.
  17. I would trade Lee if I had to make the choice. Believe it or not Carlos is going to have higher trade value, not only because of the things you guys mentioned but also because he is locked in the next few years at a very reasonable rate. Believe it or not the other GM's around the league are not stupid. They are still going to look at Paulies huge slump year and railroad us. We have alot better chance to getting something good for Lee (especially if he can reach 100 RBI's before years end.)
  18. More like the conservative mouthpeice sticking up for their boy. It doesn't matter how many innocent people he kills they will still be on Bush like a 12 year old alterboy on a priest. God I hope Bush loses. I hate that son a a b****. f***ing lying asshole. :fyou BUSH! I wish John McCain were president.
  19. Honestly i'm a little sick of all of this total overhaul talk. Lets be realistic here. Before Maggs and Frank got hurt we were in first place crusing to a division title. After Maggs and Frank get hurt we are screwed. I'm not so sure we are in as desperate of a need as some of you make it out to be. Willie Harris has exceeded expectations. Juan Uribe has exceeded expectations. Yet we dumb the teams problems on players like them even though they are doing better then we all thought they would in the first place. This team only needs a few minor changes to get back to being a 1st place team. 1) Jose Valentin gone. 2) Sign another SP (Without getting rid of Garland, he has been very consistant at giving up 4 ER's or less a game, he keeps us in almost every game he pitches.) 3) Give Willie and Juan 2B and SS. When there guys were in the lineup everyday and they knew they'd be there everyday they were both hitting around .320. These kids have talent. Don't waste it. 4) Get a Power hitting, High Average RF. Mags isn't the answer as much as I hate to say it. There are plenty of guys out there that fit this. 5) Joe Crede needs to be given a shot to right the ship. He has at least shown flashes of talent and skill. He can put it together. Besides that he's our #8 hitter anyway.
  20. The forgot about Willie Harris. They are too stupid to realiaze that SS is Juan Uribe's next year and Willie Harris is the second basemen. So called expects my ass.
  21. I don't care as long as Bush doesn't win. If Bush wins then I think it's fair to say that the country is in a whole heap of trouble.
  22. That is exactly what I needed today
  23. Anyone else still wishing we had kept him :rolly
