Why does Hendrickson always dominate? Ohh well I just hope Garcia doesn't give up anything else. Runs will be sparse in this game with someone so "dominating" on the mound.

If i'm not mistaken the last time we faced Hendrickson he owned us. He schooled us... Lets hope we don't make him look good again. Garcia needs to start pitching like an ACE too.

I started calling Orlando Hernandez "Heart attack" Hernandez after his 2nd or 3rd start. I stand by that.

I think you guys aren't really understanding my position on this trade. If it's Jason Schmidt for any of our prospects that aresn't considered top prospects i'm fine with it. However you don't trade Jose because he has had 3 or 4 bad starts in a row so you can add 2 total question marks in the rotation. Believe it or not Jose is not that bad. I'd be in favor of the trade as long as it doesn't make our rotation weaker in the long run. There is no sense replacing Jose when we have no other insurance policy if Hernandez gets hurt again, and he will. Then KW will really have to pay out the nose for another mediocore starter.

Ohh wait I forgot the Bonus of leaving us with only 3 quality starters while Duque is injured. THIS ISN'T 2003! Well at least the bonus is i'll get to see Felix Diaz back at the major league level this year if the deal is done..

Yeah... thats so the same as paying a Kings Ranson for a guy thats injuried and putting up an ERA over 5 in the NL....

All I know is if he joins the team everyone will start throwing worse. We're going to look back on this as the end of the 2005 season. Maybe we can find Todd Ritche too (who more then likely has more gas in the tank then Schmidt.)

Lets face it there is nothing better. Lets say we trade Jose and get Schmidt. Schmidt will only get worse pitching in the Cell and will be a black hole. It also forces BMAC to step up and become the 4th starter when Orlando gets hurt. Then after he and Orlando are buddies on the DL then Adkins will be joining mccarthy in the back of our rotation. We lose every game our 4th and 5th starters throw and we fall into second place. We have to keep Jose to even have hope to salvage a quarter of those games. WE'RE NOT GOING TO FIND SOMEONE BETTER THEN JOSE AS A 4TH STARTER! HE WILL HAVE A FEW MORE GOOD STARTS! PLEASE GET A GRIP PEOPLE! GUYS LIKE SCHMIDT ARE A MILLION TIMES WORSE!

The ONLY way Schmidt is a good idea is if it's Joe Borchard for him straight up. And even then the trade is in the Giants favor. I mean if we want a guy to put up an ERA in the 5's (or more likely 6's at the Cell), get totally lit up every other start we might as well keep BMAC in the rotation. At least he'll gain experience for next year and we won't have to give him 3 and a half mil just to get lost. I would be ok with a trade like Joe Borchard for Jason Schmidt and Cash (enough to cover his buy out and most of his salary this year. Otherwise keeping a has been scrub like him on the roster doesn't make sense. We can do much better.
