  1. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) JOe Bochard will be in the lineup at RF by May/June Time.. bank on it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You lost all credibility right there. In order for Borch to even sniff the starting RF job the following guys would have to get hurt first. Dye Everett Timo Gload Harris Escobar ...and even then it's questionable they'd let him start. I realize it was in green but knowing your views you might seriously think that.
  2. If there is nothing else on then i'll consider trying to watch it again. I just hope that the fact that this will be a total flop won't hurt Family Guy getting back on network TV.
  3. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 08:26 AM) American Dad's half hour, Republican beat down must have been pure heaven. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> American Dad sucked. I watched exactly half of it and then switched to a re run of Auqa Teen. It's amazing it could be so bad considering how good family guy is.
  4. Everything this year was just to tame and boring. It's like they were so afraid to do anything. I didn't see anything too particularly interesting.
  5. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 08:43 AM) Yep, as you said... we would not have been able to sign Dye.. I say to you.. THANK FA_KING GOD.. Who wants to place a bet that Maggs will play more games then Dye will this year? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll take that bet. I'll also bet Dye has a higher Average and more HR's. I'll also bet that Maggs plays less then a third of his games in RF and winds up being the DH, which once again proves there was no room for him here because we already have a DH.
  6. QUOTE(winodj @ Feb 7, 2005 -> 08:08 AM) The Simpsons was fricking brilliant last night. "You try to raise your daughter a secular humanist and then Hollywood comes and shoving religion in our face.... 'Mommy, why wasn't I baptized?' See what they've done??" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was almost as funny as ned flanders, "The Passion of Cain and Able" movie...
  7. The keys to this season... 1) Orlando Hernandez holding up... 2) Scott Posednik and Jermaine Dye putting up good offensive numbers... 3) Willie Harris being able to become a major league CF if Pods busts or 2B if Iguchi busts. 4) Aaron Rowand being able to be shaped into an impact player. 5) The bullpen being as good as advertised. 6) Frank Thomas coming back healthy in time for the 2nd half.
  8. At least we get to see him be a .260, .270 hitting DH for the rest of his career without the power. He will end up being an Edgar Martinez like player.
  9. I didn't want to start a new thread for it. Did anyone watch the simpsons? I loved the part when Tom Brady got on that scooter thing with the sign that says "Everyone sucks but me!" I just bust up laughing
  10. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Feb 6, 2005 -> 11:31 PM) Never really watched Family Guy but this was pretty funny. Jesus to Dubya: I got Cheney on the line I'm gonna have to let you go... Hello Sir! hahaha <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only funny line in the whole episode was the part when god was talking to Bush... God: Maybe you should downplay our relationship. Like that telling people God wanted you to be president. Why don't you just keep that to yourself. Other then that very dissappointed. The show just was very unfunny. He needs to stick with Family Guy.
  11. Wow...just wow... So Maggs is pissed that KW dared to tell the truth about the extent of his injury. There is no way he is going to be a .300 hitter anymore with the Tigers. Maybe .280 tops. Plus he won't sniff 30 HR's again any time soon. He's going to get whats coming to him.
  12. Well at least on the bright side this article paints the cubs about as badly as it paints us. Still the guy who wrote it is a jackass. Is this guy real or is he just Mariotti collecting two paychecks. It's hard to believe there are two sports writers that stupid.
  13. Anyone else see the title and was hoping that it was Maggs...
  14. Enjoy third place Maggs. Seriously though I have a feeling he is going to spend more time at DH then in the field so this is a good move for him personally. I do agree they overpaid considering no one else would even come near him with anything more then a 2 year deal. Also nice to see they were smart enough to put an escape clause in for when Maggs is found out to be the fraud he is.
  15. #1 on that list is to ban Nascar, poker, and any other BS activities from calling themselves sports...
  16. I think it's obvious we are a more complete teams. On a side not the funny part is that the same problem that we had the last 3 years will be the same problem the cubs will have next year. I think Rusch is kind of like Schoey was. He's ok out of the pen and maybe a spot start or two but no way is he going to be make it starting the whole year. At least we will be able to mock them about it now that the shoe is on the other foot.
  17. IMO you ought to take it to good will. Some poor kid who's always wanted a jersey will be able to get one and you won't have to be caught wearing the symbol of Greed, Selfishness, and Lying.
  18. QUOTE(rangercal @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 09:10 AM) http://www.jrussellshealth.com/microwaves.html Ten reasons to throw out your Microwave oven (taken from research): 1. Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term, permanent, brain damage by ‘shorting out” electrical impulses in the brain (de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue). 2. The human body cannot metabolize (breakdown) the unknown by-products created in microwaved food. 3. Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods. 4. The effects of microwaved food by-products are residual (long term, permanent) within the human body. 5. Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be broken down. 6. The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens. 7. Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths (tumors). This may explain the rapid increased rate of colon cancer in America. 8. The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in human blood. 9. Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and serum alterations. 10. Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease of intelligence. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Does this include if i'm just reheating take-out from the night before.
  19. Could the third just of been Johnny Carson or is that too far apart?
  20. I'm not too interested in James Bond movies. The older ones were ok but the more recent ones I haven't even seen.
  21. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 09:23 AM) Now that this has come out are you people gonna lay off Rummy? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> This just had me busting up laughing. All this proves is that Bush didn't have enough sense to get rid of the moron when he had the chance.
  22. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 4, 2005 -> 01:03 PM) Scoff if you want to. Cookies Kill. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Those people could have easily choked on those cookies. Then we'd have a serial killer on our hands. Seriously though I do think it was bad judgement. I know it someone I didn't know came knocking on the door of my apartment and left a box of cookies the first thing i'd do is take them to the trash. Ohh well I guess life is easier in a small town.
  23. The death penality isn't extreme enough for them. They need to be tortured first. Maybe every hair pulled out one by one, then drenched in gasoline and lit on fire. That would almost make it even...
  24. QUOTE(WSFAN35 @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) You must not watch a lot of baseball. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you watch him in CF last season. He was horrible. He had balls dropping all around him, in front of him, that AROW or any halfway decent CF, would of had easily. I don't know what he did with the Mets because I don't watch a lot of Met games but I can't imagine he was that much better. His range was horrible. As a RF he's adaquate but below average. As a CF from what I saw last year he got a failing grade. Next year we'll see if it was just the "injury" or if thats really what he's like.
  25. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Feb 3, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) the only thing i will miss about FSN is that they would replay the games. thats cool so that in case u miss the game you can always see the replay <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It always pissed me off because it seemed Fox only chose to replay games that we lost or sucked in. Ohh well maybe it was just me though.
