Your pitching staff has to be one of the best in the league. your hitting leaves much to be desired, but that's not to say it's bad. You have some quality players, it's just overall more average then what I'd want. Overall, a team that I'd expect to compete. Posey gives you an advantage in C over all teams. Solid infield depth (like Seager) and while your OF isn't strong, it has depth. I dont like Kemp, but I like Yelich, Incirante, Piscotty, and Pence. But I like them all as more OF3 / 4 type players.

How many teams, what type of league.

Yeah, It would be ideal to pick a summer chisox baseball game, perhaps a 7pm start. Get together around noon or so for a game and a monster tailgate session. Just keep playing and eating until gametime . I am down +1.

The players the Brewers got are decent. It's a reasonable trade for both sides. Shame the Sox didn't get in, but Davis isn't a great piece IMO. Great power, but lousy .avg and nothing special defensively.

:notworthy Indeed, that is the story I was interested in. I remember some of the name mentions (southsiders.net) from those earlier days. It is amazing how so many new members keep showing up. Forums are getting somewhat outdated nowadays, but SoxTalk stays strong.

Hm, some good conversation here, but still somewhat unclear on the soxtalk origin. I see it extended from WSI being a... negative place ... at the time.

Haha, it was crazy! I remember watching every single game and always having the SoxTalk game thread open to discuss every little detail. I learned a lot about baseball from those game threads when I was just 16 or so years old. I was living in Florida at the time, so getting a chance to talk to other White Sox fans about the playoffs that year was certainly irreplaceable. All the talk about the media bias, crazy Ozzie Guillen, the weird nicknames we had for players were great. The amount of activity on the board was very high too. Playing pick to click was fun. Great stuff.

I'm interested to hear about the story of Soxtalk.com. Why was it created? How did this place get so popular. There are people with over 100,000 posts on this forum. I have been here for over 10 years. This place keeps activity even when the White Sox are not a good team. I know other teams have forums similar to this, but this sure seems to be a very good one relative to many others. Whenever I think of creating a forum I always wonder how I will attract people. How did soxtalk start? Just curious. I can't even recall how I ended up here.

Hate the trade upfront. Matz is a great talent to have in a keeper league (really valuable) and so are the others. But if it is such a complex keeper league and you weren't able to keep all of them, then you have to do what you have to do and Gordon at $15 seems like a great chip to have.

Man, I hope we get this guy (Desmond) and then have some plan for OF (trade would be awesome, but jackson/Fowler would be fine). I'm really getting hyped for baseball (mainly a fantasy baseball player) but these moves would get me back into white sox baseball. (especially now that I live ~3.5 miles from the stadium).

For the rockies, what in the actual f*** are they thinking? Seriously? As others have pointed out in this thread, could have just signed a RP and kept the better OF in dickerson. For the Rays, sure, nice move, I suppose. For the White Sox, why did they not get in this? I'm sure they could of came up with something better. Oh well.

s***ty main event tonight s***ty main event at fastlane (wtf is a fastlane anyway, what happened to No Way Out) As stated above, the major face gets boooed outta the building guaranteed @ fastlane, we have another obvious turn of events, and worse is that it will likely lead to Reigns vs. HHH at WM, which is boring alone but you put the title on the match and now its boring and frustrating. I am enjoying the undercard tho, in general. Tag Teams are looking nice, I really dig this AJ Styles, love the Wyatts in the mid card, New Day, etc.

The rock is amazing man. I'm working on damped harmonic ocsillations problems and he comes on Raw and immediately takes me away from my calculations. I thought they did that segment really well, it was electrifying. Now let's see what he has to say in the middle of the ring and who may challenge him.
