I find that article, the title of this thread and several comments made to be racially insensitive and morally bankrupt. If this is how you to choose to present yourself, I pity you all. :puke You people make me sick!

Contreras doesn't look a day over 53. But the stuff WoW, he's got great stuff. Stuff is what bad pitchers have. If he was a good pitcher the stuff wouldn't matter and everyone would say he's a good pitcher. Todd Ritchie had great stuff, Kris Benson apparently has great stuff. :puke HOLY s***!!!!!!!!!! Contreras just made me VOMIT!!!!! :puke Good thing we got him for nothing. GO OLD MAN RIVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I miss Loaiza already. Royals have looked pretty good their last 2 games scoring alot of runs. After a 7 game losing streak I don't know how the Sox could look past the Royals but they will. Ben Davis won't be hitting any 3 run homers tonight and since that was just about all the Sox offense Sunday it shouldnt't go too well. This offense without Frank and Maggs SUCKS! BIG TIME! Royals--5 Sox--1(If their lucky) :finger

Don't they play a makeup game with the Phillies tommorow? They win today. Guaranteed Garcia will pitch lights out. The only thing that worries me is that Buehrle was lights out yesterday and it didn't help. Hopefully They can have a lead in the 9th and not have to worry about walking in the winning run.
-
Buehrle is just the guy we need out there today. We works fast and he's been a stopper of sorts all year. These next 2 days with Buehrle and Freddy going I feel real good about the sox turning things around, even though the offense looks like total s***.

Sox-Tigers 7/30 game thread: Showdown in Motown

Garland hasn't had a truly bad start in awhile. The bats need to wake up. Hopefully Valentine won't do anything awful tonight. -
Indeed it would. I've got my fingers crossed.

How is it that these kind of posts aren't ripped apart as badly as mine are? We were worse off last year? Last year we had Frank and Maggs for the stretch run and we had Loaiza pitching lights out. We won't have either of our two big bats and Loaiza hasn't looked very good as of late. We just got swept by the team we are chasing, we have 65 games left and 3 days off. That means alot of consecutive games relying on guys like Crede, Lee and Konerko who have never proven they can carry this kind of load. Lee left four men on base yesterday. This team isn't even playing good fundamental baseball right now, that 7th inning yesterday was disasterous and Valentine dropping that fly made me sick to my stomach. What does KW have left to trade? Diaz? Munoz? This team has no minor league system whatsoever. There is now way we can pull off a big trade that will make a difference. This team is classic White Sox, they stay in the race just long enough to get us excited and then they do this to us. This team is done, the RAH RAH bulls*** won't help anything either. You can sit there and waive your flags all day, that won't keep Konerko from grounding into DP's or Valentine from playing awful defense. I'm going to continue to watch the Sox but I won't be getting my hopes up expecting a miracle. Now go and rip me apart for being realistic while you guys watch this team fall apart even more. :banghead

Yeah, you're right. I read it wrong. Looks like we can at least look forward to not being tied with the Indians tonight. f***ING AWESOME!!!!!!!
-
Another Big L tonight. Schoeneweis just isn't going to come with any type of game to get us out of this hole. Without Frank and Maggs this offense just isn't going to produce enough runs to win. There is NO way that Schoeneweis will be the one to put an end to this losing streak. There's a good chance that after tonight the Sox could be tied with the Indians. Tigers--9 Sox--1

Garcia pitched a hell of a game for the most part last night and it wasn't good enough. I can't see Loaiza bringing anything better than Garcia did last night. In fact his stuff will almost certainly be worse. Hopefully the Twins are tired after all those runs last night and the earlier start will catch up with them. The sox should be fired up hoping not to get swept. Hopefully the offense will come up huge and Loaiza will be a non factor. However, I don't see that happening without Frank or Ordonez. The Twins usually step it up against the Sox in the second half and I don't see the Sox team that will be taking the field today stepping it up. Twins--5 Sox-- 3

I'm glad the Sox were able to prove me wrong tonight. They only let Minnesota get 7 and I predicted 9. This team is going places right now. They're going straight to third place. Wait til next year boys because this year is finished.
-
They won their way right into second place, I couldn't be more proud. I've got a great idea that could turn next season around. At the end of the year Let Everett leave and then trade a whole bunch of prospects for him. That should put us right in the playoffs next year. At leasts thats been managements philosophy the last 2 seasons.
-
It's gonna look even uglier tonight boys! Garcia will be back under .500 and we'll be even further out of first. Not having Frank and Maggs in the lineup is going to kill this team and guys like Lee, Crede and Konerko aren't going to be able to carry them. I'm sticking a fork in this season cause it's done! Twins-9 Sox-3

After the sweep is completed and the ASS kicking that Minnesota will be putting on you, well, I'd say it is safe to say the season is over. At least they didn't tease you as long as they did last year.

Maybe the Sox should bring up Arnie

He could be as bad as wrong and Diaz. It would also prove once again that we have nopitching in our farm system. You can't build a quality pitching staff unless you're able to draw from your own system. We have enough outfielders to last a lifetime, but no pitchers. The sox could trade for another starter, but the name I hear being thrown around alot right now is Freddy Garcia. Who do the sox have to offer for this guy? Valentine? Valentine and prospects? Haven't we already traded enough prospects away? The sox need to work on boosting the farm staffs pitching. WE NEED PITCHING PROSPECTS AND WE HAVE NONE!!!!!!!!!!!! -
game threead 5/18 - Sox @ Indians, 7:05 ET

Cleveland has a crap pitcher going today. So, by White Sox logic that means we get dominated tonight. Look for Garland to keep it close until the 6th when he does his usual collapse. Prediction Sox-2 Indians-5 -
Consider yourself lucky.

Great win yesterday. Lots of runs great pitching. We saw what happened when they pulled this against Baltimore. Tonight the Sox will have us pulling our hair out more than ever. The main questions after tonights game will be: How can we win a division title with this feast or famine offense? And Who is going to be our #5 starter? Diaz is going on three days rest since he got rocked against Baltimore last week. The Indians are hot right now, they've scored alot of runs as of late. Prediction Sox-0 Indians-4

This was the game I thought the Sox had the least chance of winning. Silva is off to a great start and Buehrle just doesn't pitch two good games in a row. Hopefully, Buehrle can step it up and show some maturity like he did in his last outing. The Sox should be fired up, they've been humiliated all weekend and its time for them to make a stand. The Twins have already won the series maybe today they take the day off. Prediction Twins-6 Sox-7 If they can't get fired up to win today, then I'm willing to write this entire season off. After the way they played those first two games, this one is HUGE!

Game Thread for 5/15 against the Twinks

PATHETIC!!!!!!!! I'm glad my father in-law backed out of going to the game at the last minute. I wouldn't have wanted waste my time with that effort the Sox gave tonight. They finally get a half way decen crowd and thats the way they perform. They'll get what they deserve tommorw when the attendance is back around 12,000. That was just a sad performance all around. I'm glad to see Ozzie was able to get the troops fired up. That looked alot like last year to me. If this is what we have to look forward to all year its going to be a real long season. :banghead
