QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 09:23 PM) At least the Bulls will get the 1st pick in the draft because the Knicks suck and we get their pick. That pick will likely be traded anyway... as we have no need for it.

Give deng 53 minutes a night. Chandler and gordon both cannot hold a f***ing basketball. :headshake
-
7-1 run only... yessssssssssss!.
-
There are five in a row...
-
Ak-47 only had seven blocks today.
-
Spurs will likely start the fourth with a 7-0 run... we all know how the bulls like to tease us.
-
The spurs passing is good... but the bulls continue to not recognize that they do the same three plays every time down the court.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 08:38 PM) Brand just took the kandi man off the dribble and hit a jump shot in his face. Does anybody else ever fantasize about a Brand, Brad Miller, Artest front court? I fantasize about having anyone of them right now. Just one is all i ask.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 08:14 PM) I think part of it is that you cannot neutralize money in these deals. Thome's going to be more attractive than anybody else, because he's either going to come relatively cheaply money wise, but somewhat expensive personell wise, or vice versa. He's also the biggest risk on board. I don't think Colorado's even looking to move Helton, and even if they were, they'd be asking for the moon while taking on very little money - IIRC, they've basically come out and said this. Add to the fact that Helton has a complete no-trade clause, and again, if I remember right, will veto any trade that involves him. That makes him very, very unattractive overall...even if he does have ridiculous numbers(his worst year ever is like a .950 OPS...I can't remember if that was this year or last, but that's remarkable, I don't care how much you like or don't like stats) Also YAS...about that Konerko declining after 3 years...that's just my honest feelings...nothing much more than that. I think his hip condition will play a large role in it. Not saying it will...just saying it's risky is all. Helton wants to be apart of the ever lasting youth movement in colorado and will likely end up ending his career there. If not it will be awfully close. This is the main reason he is never apart of trade rumors. Anyone know if he lives there? Because i cannot understand why we wants to be with a team that will likely never succeed.

Bulls have 15 points and chandler has nine?

QUOTE(Felix @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 07:17 PM) And Iguchi helped his team more than Cano helped his team. Whats your point? This is debatable. Iguchi was an average two hole hitter this year and that is including everyone's favorite stat... productive outs!1!1!1!1!

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 04:07 PM) I think you underrated the spurs to no end. They aren't going to come close to 70 wins but I just don't think anyone can beat them. No one here even says why they think they are unbeatable. They just are?

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) man qwerty your game threads are amazing.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) Does anyone here think the Spurs have a shot at 70 this season? They already lost a game. I highly doubt it. This board seems to overate the spurs to no end and think this is the greatest team in the history of the nba. I still think three teams from the east can beat them in the finals. Pacers, pistons, and heat... in that order. I put them in that order because you need to beat the spurs at their own game. I view think the pacers and pistons defense will be very similar except i give the nod to the pacers on defense. I still don't know what to think about the heat, it is far too early to tell for me. After the spurs bounce back loss they might beat the s*** out of us. On the other hand we play up to our opponents pretty well... as well as playing down to an opponents level.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) I think Japanese players are unfairly discriminated against during the ROY voting because of maverick voters. That said, Iguchi was very good but wasn't really better than the other guys so I have no problem with Cano, Gomes, and Street ahead of him. I do have a gripe with Chacin. There is an extremely unfair bias against starting pitchers, even more so than Japanese players. For some reason, and it makes no sense, hitters aren't judged by MVP standards as rookies but pitchers are judged on CY standards. What I mean by that is that 280-15-80 numbers are s***ty for an MVP, but pretty solid for a ROY candidate. However, when a pitcher wins 13-14 games as a rookie with an era around 4, he was terrific but gets very little credit for having done so as a rookie. I think Chacin didn't get enough credit from the voters or the analysts this season Maybe it is because of the 1.39 whip and nearly .800 ops right handers had against him? Those are far from great numbers... not even good.

QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 03:16 PM) I would have voted Cano over Street.. Street was injured and never really did a whole lot to make that big of a difference to make RoY 78.1 innings with a 1.72 era and whip of 1.01 while saving 23 games ( he did blow four) in his very first season in the majors? I think he is more than deserving.

Friday i won 1,000 dollars playing pool in a tournament. Later that night i celebrate by drinking myself into oblivion. On like my 19th shot ( had other s*** in between) we walked to jewel to get some food. While there the dumbasses left me alone and i started eating a flower... some security guard/cop guy was like '' you gonna pay for that''. Right when he said that i threw the plant down and dirt flew every where. He chased us out of the store and we had to run back to the house which is only about a block away. That block felt like about a mile considering i couldn't stand straight and kept falling. Once we get back to the house i took several more shots. I went into the fridge and smacked myself in the face with the door and i am slightly brusied. After that went and layed down for a while. Starting throwing up all over myself and they dragged me into the washroom so that i didn't ruin any furniture. I was in the washroom for like an hour and a half i was told throwing up nonstop ( thankfully i ate before hand). They thought i was done so they tried to pick me up... i ended up throwing up on one of them and they dropped me from about three feet and my head now has a bump on it. After he dropped me he turned on the sink and the pipe cracked ( do not know why the hell or hw the hell this happened) but the fire department had to come to shut it off because it was flooding the first floor. But before the fire department came i was ont he front lawn for a while and some douches from inside the house took me to another friends house a few blocks down. They were pounding on the front door for a few minutes and no one would come to the door. They left me on his front f***ing lawn to die at 3-4 in the morning. My friend comes out a little later to smoke a cigarette and finds me... drags me in the house. Plops me on the couch and i slept for a few hours. I wake up because i had to piss/throw up... on my way to the washroom i walked into the pool table and stub my toes and hip/thigh. Have had a migrane for the past two days but my stomache is finally back intact. Only smart thing that happened this weekend is i took the 1,000 dollars back to my house before i drank.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Nov 7, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) I think he means 4th outfielder like Everett was this year. He'd mainly be the DH, but he'd replace someone in the outfield every couple of games. Ya, why not use podsednik as out dh and matsui in the outfield? Matsui's fielding> podsednik's.
-
QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Nov 6, 2005 -> 11:42 PM) So no chance Konerko comes back as the 1B with Matsui as the 4th OF/DH? Fourth outfielder? He is a better hitter than arguably anyone of our outfielders. Anyway there is just no way we can give him the 10-12 million dollars he will andcan command in this weak free agency. I still truly believe we should look into signing durazo to an incentive laden deal with a base salary of around two million and he can make up to 7-8.
