What about Eurubio Durazo?
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Nov 13, 2005 -> 05:36 PM) How did you ever come up with a nickname like that? Jabroni probally helped him out with that witty nickname.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 12, 2005 -> 12:23 AM) If your not in the army you dont really have a legit complaint about it. And since you have been posting on soxtalk everyday of the year I very much doubt you are in the army. This makes zero sense.

Curry Trade
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 12:12 AM) Arent AL Harrington and Nazr Muhammed both f/a's...... With the amount of cap space we have Id think we can bring them both to Chicago. Muhammed would give us the C we really need. And the Bulls have always seemed to have an interest in Harrington. Add that in with two 1st rounders one possibly top 5 with the Knicks sucking so much... although nothing is definite. Rather have peja than harrington. There is a very good chance that we could sign him. He is friends with skiles and has played under his over in europe. Him showing interest in the past certainly doesn't hurt either. I see us signing peja and a center like nazr... then i see us trading the first rounder and one of deng/nocioni ( most likely nocioni.

Yankees ask about Rowand
QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) I said there is no reason to MOVE A PROVEN PLAYER to put in a rookie who might or might not do s*** in the majors.... Now if we don't resign Konerko and we have no one else available then by all means give him his shot... But you sure as hell don't trade proven cheap talent so you can do it when you can just as easily trade the prospect... I never said Anderson sucked and to never give him a shot... but you don't trade the proven player to give him one unless he's overpaid... which he's not.. Some of you are acting like Anderson is some kind of god... you'll all be the first ones complaining when him and Joe Crede are competing to see who can get to the mendoza line first in April... You have to realize rowand is a s***ty hitter ( he is until he proves 2004 was not a fluke... and i have serious doubts). That is all i want from you.

NAMBLA Man of the Year
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) I think he would be able to get away if it wasnt consentual. And then there is this So, if he didnt like it happening, there really shouldnt be a reason for it to happen 3 different times. Exactly why this story is retarded. 0_0

Yankees ask about Rowand
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) It's honestly so ridiculous that people are down on Anderson cause Borchard has been a bust. Anderson isn't Borchard, every team has busts and every team has guys that make it big, to not want Anderson to get an opportunity because of Borch is completely retarded. That's mostly the rowand slurrrper.

Yankees ask about Rowand
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) He's going to be in the bullpen, good chance he doesn't get to 120 innings. Only reason i said 120 is counting in injuries. I cannot see us being that lucky so many years in a row. I just see something bad happening to the rotation sooner or later ( hopefully not).

Yankees ask about Rowand
QUOTE(beck72 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) I don't think the sox will be [and shouldn't be] counting on El Duque to throw much in 06. If he cannot throw 120 innings next year i hope they cut him. He is potentially a big waste of a roster space in more ways than one.

Yankees ask about Rowand
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:57 PM) This coming from the guy who thought he was worth the big contract he signed. I don't think he is a defensive god like the rest of this board ( well majority).

College hoops Playboy style…
QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) I actually do not like the age limit in the NBA. While a lot of high school players make the jump to the NBA before they are ready, a lot of players have no business playing college basketball. LeBron, Amare Stoudamire, Dwight Howard, even a guy like Al Jefferson with the Celtics last year would not have benefitted by playing in college. In fact, had any one of those guys gone to college or the NBADL and gotten hurt it could have killed their future earning power. But I guess my main problem with it is that anyone over 18 can fight a war in Iraq, but they can't play in the NBA. So because of a few abberations you want 18 year olds to play in the nba? For every player that is ready at 18 there are hundreds that are not. I am willing to take the chance of one player... who has the potential to be great, get injured and ruin his career ( not likely with the medical treatments now). Having players go to college for at least a tear or two benifits both the college and nba... win-win situation if you ask me. I have a bigger problem that you cannot legally gamble/drink at 21... but you can fight and potentially be killed in war at 18.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:50 PM) He was pretty much a statue out there this season. Great arm, but average range this season. How overated has he become on this board? Almost as much as furcal and people wanting him for ten million a year.

NAMBLA Man of the Year
QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) Drugs...? Alcohol..? Were either involved in this case? If i just don't understand it... he must have been willing to not get away from an 87 year old man.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Nov 11, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Adults can manipulate kids. With what? Suckers and balloon animals? Come on... if he didn't want to have sex with someone 70 years older than him and of the same sex ( assuming he is not gay) he could have said fish you and leave.

NAMBLA Man of the Year
You telling me this kid got raped by an 87 year old man? If he didn't want to have sex witht he 87 year old guy i think he could have gotten away rather easily... no?

If you could choose one player for 2006...
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Nov 8, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) I don't think I'd have the infinity in there, but PK's definately a few steps above Delgado. So you are saying if you had the choice... and didn't have to sign or trade players for either one... you would take konerko over delgado? I would take delgado over konerko every and any time.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 10, 2005 -> 01:55 AM) I remember black jack. I also remember the White Sox beat the Yanks in a game they were no hit in. I think they ended up winning 4-0 but I may be wrong. I'm trying to think who threw the no-hitter against the Sox. I was probably 6 when it happened. What are you yalking about? http://www.baseball-almanac.com/pitching/pinohit1.shtml

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 11:47 PM) Sweets will NEVER start with the way he plays defense, but man he's BY FAR our best offensive threat in the post, so he needs to play and get the ball more. If eddy curry started i don't see why sweetney can't/won't.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Nov 9, 2005 -> 10:58 PM) Actually Skiles said the Nets game was Gordon's best overall game... so im guessing he defended pretty well in that game too. He defense was nothing great.. made alot of bad decisions. Anyway it's most likely because he shot well early on... six rebounds... four assists... and only one turnover in 31 minutes. The worst game for him defensively was the spurs game though. There isn't a player on that team he can defend...and do it well.
