QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 18, 2005 -> 11:04 PM) I don't think she is "ugly", but rather she is just another one of those types that you expect to find in the Hip Hop and Rap video's (dress, mannerisms, etc), and that just isn't my thing. Ugly? No. Do I find other women (yes, my wife included) to being MUCH more attractive? Yes. It's all personal taste. Heck, some people find Rosanne and Bea Arthur attractive. Don't make me bust out the cloris leachman pictures too...

QUOTE(JimH @ Nov 18, 2005 -> 09:06 PM) Good Lord man, put the Giles drum away. You have only mentioned this about 100 times already, he is gonna cost a 3 year deal at probably $25 million minimum. Meaning, not modestly priced. Very least he is gonna cost is 3-30. He is the best hitter available through both trade and free agency. Signing him to 3-30 is a modest price considering...

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 11:59 PM) Cubs are also gonna lose a draft pick out of this. LOL. That's funny. He is a type a free agent...

QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 11:36 PM) It was on those sources prematurely. That's what I'm saying. I recall it as a fact, not speculation that it was near completion. Either way it's not a very big deal.

Reefer madness... pretty amusing.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 11:27 PM) Here's the way I remember the Alex Cora thing. Word leaked out about Cora's upcoming signing with Cleveland. Yet, it was reported in the media as a done deal. Levine then reported it on the day the signing actually occured. You can look and find media links that will "prove" me wrong. But as I said, the signing was prematurely reported. It was on rotoworld and espn before he announced it. But to be honest with you i could care less about bruce levine and i don't have a way to prove it was. He is definitely not where i look for information since i rarely listen to the radio.

QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 10:45 PM) When did he throw someone out at home? Wait... i just thought you were saying they do not count when a player is thrown out at home as an outfield assist.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) That's all for the entire season? I'm pretty sure they don't include any outs at home. Not true.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan1022 @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 10:35 PM) How am I putting words in your mouth, you said Rowand has a bad arm, which is wrong. Rowand's arm was brutal this season. All of are outfielders arms were a problem in different aspects. Podsednik? He is fairly accurate without the bit of arm strength to thrown people out. Dye? Well he just throws the ball over the cut off man, he has even throw it over two cut off men in one play. Rowand buries everything he throws into the ground and it is a six hopper to it's destination.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan1022 @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) someone before stated he has an horrable arm, and his arm as compairable to pierre's, but i realized that wasnt you. I know his arm wasnt the strongest, but my argument this whole time was with the one guy that said pierre had the same arm as aaron...thats just crazy Does arm strength really matter if you are no accurate? Jermaine dye and vlad are two prime examples that arm strength does not = good. I want accuracy.

QUOTE(JimH @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 06:32 PM) Please. I know bashing this guy is the fashionable thing to do around here, including posting stupid pictures, but this guy is quite well connected. He reports what he hears and what other people tell him. He is not a GM or an owner, and those are the only people who should be believed because they are the only people with control over the situation. When Everett was traded to the White Sox, he was all over that a week or two beforehand. He was all over the Freddy Garcia trade. Jermaine Dye, the Contreras trade, there are other examples. Yes, he has been way off on things and he was stupid to comment on the Omar Vizquel situation the way he did. But bottom line, anyone who RELIES on rumors coming from sports reporters and then says they never get anything right should understand what the guy's role is. It is to report what he hears. Some things pan out, others don't. He might be well connected to the sox, but when it comes to other teams? Awful. He gets information from his ''sources'' a day or two late. I have heard him say that a player was recently signed two days after it happened on several occasions last year.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) ^^^^ every word of this. Scott Eyre had a good year at the absolute best time for himself. He's gonna make a lot of money and then disappoint a lot of people. That's how free agency works. Players put up numbers out of the normal all the time, rape a team, then go back to therir old form. Happens year in year out... but next off-season sub par players will be raking in more than ever. The free agent market is gonna be f***ing loaded... it's extremely deep.

QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 17, 2005 -> 04:57 PM) We won a few grand twice in the past 2 years. But I think you're right and no one from Illinois has won that one before. Kid i went to school with ( parents were already wealthy) grandparents won 64 million off the big game. They lived in burbank from the time he was born until they won it... they moved after that school year. Oh ya they just so happen to be... the snelius's.

First two are great. The third one gets ripped alot and people say they should have never made it. But imo, if you look at the movie by itself and do not compare it to the other two... that is when you will realize how good it is.

QUOTE(JoshPR @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 11:56 PM) Pass. Pierre has been in decline. ANd having 2 no arms in the outfield can't be very good Has been on a decline would mean there are multiple season of numbers decreasing wouldn't it? I hope pierre hits .350 next year... with the cubs or not.

QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 11:53 PM) It was either last Monday or Thursday night. I think it was more likely a Thursday night, as he's on the radio weekly. Well if you could find a quote it would be appreciated. I just know on real gm, bbb, etc... when skiles says anything it is talked about, and alot.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 11:49 PM) It's exactly what he said. They asked him what Gordon has to do to become a starter, and Skiles said he doesn't think he'll ever be good enough to start for the Bulls. Why is this not on any message board i have looked on? Don't see any mentions of it.

Talk about pathetic... deng was 3-13 forcing shots up left and right... duhon just could not hit anything to same his life, he was 1-13. Chandler was scrub city as well.

Orgasm...

Soxfan101... what you think about the officiating a couple weeks through now?

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 09:42 PM) I wonder if they could get something for a package starting with Tim Thomas' expiring contract. I'd think it would have some value, especially if the Bulls could find a low post guy that they saw potential in (that was paid well already, maybe too well) but that the Bulls thought they could turn into something. Than again that could be a waste of what would be FA cap room this off-season. I'm just not convinced that too many of these guys are going to hit the FA market. Obviously Peja would, but I still don't know how much better that makes the Bulls. Peja would easily be our best shooter/scorer ( sorry gordon fans). While he defense is not great he can play solid enough defense against small fowards. Once he gets matched up against power forwards he is f***ed.
-
QUOTE(fathom @ Nov 16, 2005 -> 09:34 PM) He's not a post guy, but the Bulls have long had their eyes on Peja. It's mutual too.

Trailblazers 11-12 free throw wise... probally the worst team in the nba at that aspect. We will fould out by early third and have to forfeit.
