QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 03:46 PM) for a lefty specialist, yes, yes he is horrible. Not to mention his terrible WHIP. Ozzie makes him out to be a lefty specialist which he is not. He use to be dominant against left handers but was never, ever a specialist. He was one of the biggest and best weapons in baseball out of the pen. We actually don't have a loogy on this team.

QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 03:40 PM) also i think like 70% of his runner inherited have scored this year. Nothing like making s*** up. 33% of his inherited runners have scored which is not awful.

We lose i blame ozzie... and i don't care if someone says s*** about armchair manager or anything like that. He is into lefty righty splits way too much and doesn't know when to use his relievers correctly. He always pulls cotts with a rihgt hander up when he is incredible verse right handers. He thinks marte is the lefty specialist when he cannot get lefties out this year and does much better verse righties. He puts our two best relievers in my opinion in the sixth and seventh inning? Something is wrong with that picture.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 3, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) I guess the K with the man on second is much more productive then. Two outs or one... which is better.... hm.

Walker is the third option? Gonna be a cancer for sure.

QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 02:08 PM) My mind must be going to crap. I thought Frank hit a triple off the top of the wall in his debut? QUOTE(Carlo Paz @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 02:28 PM) I seem to remember that too....to right field. Nope... 0-4 with one rbi like brian said.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 04:55 PM) I've gotten halfway into 'The Machinist', is it worth finishing? I hope I won't be dissapointed. Is there a good twist coming? Just watch the end of it.

If we took everyone out of the hall of fame that cheated it would be an awfully small hall of fame.

QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 04:26 PM) ...... Is there something you want to tell us?

QUOTE(Da Sox @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 04:18 PM) I say yes because most likley Bonds is going in and even if he did use steriods, he's ruining his body in the long term for people like me to have a more enjoyable expierance watching the game. I say promote the use of steriods among professionals, it will make them better and make the game more entertaining. Watching a guy take walks when pitches are thrown three feet of the plate because he is so juiced up that he could bunt a home run out? That is entertainment at it's best to me. I cannot believe you are actually condoning the use of steroids and think it makes the game of baseball better.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) Heres something for you. What if Palmeiro is released? Is it worth it to pick him up? The sox would never even think about signing him since they are so against steroids.
-
First ballot hall of famer.
-
Why are so many people shocked by this? Finding out your girlfriend has a penis... now that is shocking. Finding out palmeiro takes steroids... not as shocking.

I can't wait until the cubs sign shingo and white sox josh becomes a cubs fan.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 09:38 AM) Great friggin' flick! MY fave of Woo's stuff though is Bullet In The Head. If you haven't seen that one yet, track it down. I liked Hitch, and found James to be really good in it. He really needs more screen time, and it could have taken the film to a higher rank. But there is a good chemistry between Smith and James. Got to see Wedding Crashers last week. Anybody else think we have just been given the next "great quote" movie? Not since Caddyshack have a I seen a movie with soooo many great quotes! I have also been getting REALLY sick of Vince Vaughn, as he plays teh exact same character in every film, but this time it seems like the writers knew he was their guy, and they tailored everything to fit him. By far the best thing he will probably ever be in, in the comedy style. I'm still trying to figure out Fantastic 4. What the heck was that all about? Was the only real reason Doc Doom and the 4 fought over Sue??? That was all I could come up with. I'm pretty sure after seeing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory that Depp might just be one of the most versitile actors working today. He was always a personal fave, but this just sealed it for me. I was expecting to HATE him in it, as he was annoying in the commercials, but he actually worked out great in it, IMO. Not once did I picture him as any of his other roles. And before somebody else wanders along stating how he modeled the role after Jackson, please offer proof. I never saw him say that he did, and he is now on record as to insisting that he did NOT model it after him. He also wasn't doing a Manson impersonation. Manson was Burton's first choice. I really enjoyed hitch... i can't see how anyone wouldn't like it. I have always wanted to just be able to beat the s*** out of vaughn with a nice blunt object. He is a disgrace to the movie industry outside of a couple movies. Depp actually came up with his portrayal by watching reruns of captain kangaroo and other t.v. show hosts of that time.

I love how everyone said he will still sign a max contract after his heart condition was known.

QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 02:31 PM) Please give me Jenks, i dont want Hermy to get all sore and s***. He has pitched 2.1 innings in the last week. If he can't handle an inning today he can be cut.
