  1. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 12:42 AM) Hell yeah, that dude was a beast. All-Time Extra Base Hits 1. Hank Aaron 1477 2. Stan Musial 1377 3. Babe Ruth 1356 4. Barry Bonds 1343 5. Willie Mays 1323 6. Lou Gehrig 1190 7. Frank Robinson 1186 8. Rafael Palmeiro 1161 9. Carl Yastrzemski 1157 10. Ty Cobb 1136 Rafael could be 6th All-Time in extra-base hits when he retires. We just had a thread where the consensus was that he's not a first ballot hall of famer. I find that very hard to believe just on the strength of his 3000 hits and his elite glove. And now this? ... 500 home runs too? First ballot with ease.
  2. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 11:34 PM) So did Lance win or not??? Nope, he choked in the final three stages.
  3. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) Hey Ozzie next time start the inning with your f***ing Closer. There was a reason marte started the inning.
  4. Rowand had no faith and back up podsednik again.
  5. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 05:13 PM) i hate to say it & i know it is Damaso's fault, but didn't Jerry Manuel screw him up? No. Contrary to common belief.
  6. Hermanson's 88 mile an hour fastball is gonna look nice to ramirez.
  7. He leaves for one half inning anytime from the fourth inning to sixth inning. He actually goes and grabs them something to eat to give d.j. time to run the show ( have heard this on the radio multiple times on different stations).
  8. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 04:51 PM) Sorry Mr. 6 posts man, I didnt relize having an era nearly under one was a bad thing. Not what he was saying...
  9. Everett singles, iguchi to third, first and third two outs.
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 04:22 PM) well here are your stats silly : http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/6291/gamelog last 13 innings pitched since june 24th 1 er.....? i know it is ez to hate vizcaino for the way he gave it up the first 3 months, but lately he has been awesome! Inherited runs please.
  11. Haha cotts made ortiz look like a fool. It's nice to have one of the best lefty/righty combos in baseball (cotts and politte).
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) Neal Cotts first appearances were 1000x worse than Vizcaino and now we love him? Vizcainos numbers are almost untouchable over the last month... Look at some stats before making such a silly claim.
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 04:06 PM) Cmon guys...he challenged him with that pitch just a tad high. I think you guys need to embrace Vizcaino a little more than you are. So he was absolutely horrible the first 3 months of the year, he has absolutely turned the corner! NOT.
  14. One guy you have to get out and you can't even do that. What a f***ing loser.
  15. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) Its the "FOP"STER.
  16. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 11:27 AM) Qwerty, I assume thats u in your avy??? No. Figure out who it is.
  17. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) Levine is one of the best. If he reports it 95% of the time it's accurate. I have only read up to this post but... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
  18. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 01:53 AM) OMG. That avatar :puke What is not to like?
  19. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) I think I just vomitted in my mouth. BTW Konerko is doing the same thing as Lee was doing last year. The going for homers not executing in key situations all the time. Kong is looking for Lee hit .299 with men in scoring position with an ops of .876?
  20. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 08:30 PM) I'm not so sure. He scored 100 runs with Milwaukee in 2003 and 85 last year hitting .244. He is on pace for about 90 this year. Is it his fault no one drives him in?
  21. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) Matsui hasn't resigned with Yankees yet. Wouldn't mind us going after him for the Everett "rover" spot. Yankees will resign him easy.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) Giles is getting old. His bat speed isn't the same as it used to be. Giles is still one of the best hitters in baseball.
