He leaves for one half inning anytime from the fourth inning to sixth inning. He actually goes and grabs them something to eat to give d.j. time to run the show ( have heard this on the radio multiple times on different stations).

Hawk's wife is up in the booth a lot. She sits in between Hawk and DJ. Maybe he goes and gets serviced.

A couple of years ago Hawk was at some golf tournament and they had John Rooney and DJ work together in the TV booth. I was surprised at how much better I liked DJ on that day. I just don't think that Hawk and DJ have that so called "chemistry" and I think it carries over even when DJ has the mike all to himself.

Idonno but I think it has helped DJ's broadcasting a lot. I mean he still isnt the greatest but compare this year to last and he is a lot better to me. Ive actually really grown to like him with the exception when he does those stupid interviews.

I think you've got it right my friend!! There was a game last week where he answered someones e-mail, and as far as eating goes, he says he doesn't eat anything during the game, and that he'll go through 4 diet pepsi's per game.

It is very possible that Hawk goes into the opposing teams booth for a half inning to full inning interview. I noticed that today too. You are however right DJ is horrible!

I heard that too and was laughing to myself. Sort of a combo of dramatic and drastic if you will.

Actually, from what I know, when the Patio closes, someone from the Bertucci Family brings him up a meal every game...It's from pretty credible sources (my dad has been up there a few times with the both of them)....

Not sure if anyone else has thought this but when I watch the games it looks to me like DJ is stoned out of his mind when they put the camera on him his eyes always look like he just got done smoking a fatty.
