White Sox vs. Red Sox 7/23 Game Thread

Featured Replies

It's round 3 in the Battle of the Sox, as Wade Miller (2-4, 5.01 ERA) takes on Orlando Hernandez (7-2, 4.98 ERA). This one will probably be a high scoring game considering how these 2 pitchers have done this season (especially El Duque at home), but let's go SOX!!!! :gosox3:

I'm very psyched about tonight's game. I'm leaving for Chicago in just a few hours. As many SoxTalkers, including myself, will be in attendance for tonight's game. :headbang

I've got a nice win streak going at games right now; let's hope that continues tonight!

El Duque is due for a solid start.

Hopefully he begins his turnaround tonight.

This is one of those play-off type games that El Duque is supposed to step it for. Lets hope he doesn't let us down. I'll be there in attendance to let him hear it if he chokes.

:gosox1:

Will be there tonight and I think we are going to bring my daughter for her 1st Sox game. :D

El Duque start against Boston for the first time since Game for 4 of the ALCS last year.

Career Numbers v. Boston: 5-4, 3.17 ERA.

I think he can show up tonight and be the El Duque we've been waiting for since that game against Minnesota.

He needs to cut down on all those damn full counts, when he walks a guy it leads to big innings! Lets get them El Duque :bringit

Not only that, but the game winning homer was hit in the 7th by Curtis Granderson. Granderson went to TF South and to UIC.

These are the games you were brought over for Orlando.

Make it happen. :gosox1: :gosoxretro: :gosox1:

Alright fellas, I'm out. Heading to the game in a few with Soxnbears and IlliniKrush, and we're gonna see Greasy up there.

Go get 'em, El Duque! :headbang

Tonight's White Sox lineup against Wade Miller of Boston:

Pods, LF ... Iguchi, 2B ... Everett, DH ... Konerko, 1B ... AJ, C ... Rowand, CF ... Perez, RF ... Crede, 3B ... Uribe, SS ... El Duque, RHP.

Bug bite still keeping Jermaine out.

I wonder if Dye will grow four more legs, start puking on food to digest it, and date Kirsten Dunst.

Only time will tell...

I would rather c aaron in the 2 hole but i guess iguchi deserves that spot for now

Free Ross Gload! Wouldn't mind seeing Everett in RF, Gload at 1b, and PK at DH. Especially considering how hot it will be, it would be nice to give PK a rest from playing in the field.

His father was my Gym teacher in 7th and 8th grade at Nathan Hale Elementary in Chicago 61st and Melvina Ave. Good ol Mr Granderson!!! I was in 7th and 8th grade in 1987-88!! So I love to see his son succeed!!!
