QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 08:06 PM) Ok, so in your opinion Dunn and his .970 OPS isn't a superior hitter to Konerko and his .836 OPS. It seems as if you're saying they're on the same level because they perform similarly w/RISP (which is also misleading b/c Dunn has a .943 OPS with RISP to Konerko's .795). I guess I just really want you to answer this question: do you think Adam Dunn is better than Paul Konerko? No way in hell is konerko better than dunn... damn dunn walks at an insane rate with men in scoring position.
-
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 07:44 PM) Uhh, no. The point is that Adam Dunn is better than Konerko. Dunn's ratio of ABs w/RISP (70) to RBIs (59) is 1.18. Compare that to David Ortiz who is at 1.19 (103 ABs w/RISP to 86 RBI). I don't really know what rate you want Dunn to be operating at, but he's clearly up there with the league's best. Dunn is hitting .236 with runners on. Ortiz is hitting .339 with runners on. Dunn is hitting .200 with runners in scoring position. Ortiz is hitting a measly .339 with runners in scoring position. Dunn is hitting .211 with men in scoring position and two outs. Ortiz is hitting .369 with men in scoring position and two outs. I don't know how you cannot say dunn should have knocked in a hell of a alot more runners than he has. Paul konerko has 38 rbis in 89 at-bats with men in scoring position. Adam dun has 30 rbi's in 70 at-bats with men in scoring position. Seems very similar to me.

QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 07:41 PM) .350 with RISP isin't good enough for that tool I guess. Who the f*** ends every sentence with an exclamation!?!?!?!?

QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) Oh boy, if you only knew. I have heard the rumors...

Is there any f***ing pitcher in the league that ramirez has not raped?
-
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 07:32 PM) Adam Dunn hits in the #5 and #6 spots whereas Konerko is at #4. And Konerko has had 89 AB's with RISP to Dunn's 70. Pretty significant difference. Point is neither has done the job with men in scoring position this year ( at the rate that should be).

QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 07:31 PM) 2 or 3 games u call that a gamer! Look at Manny every game he delivers a big hit.. sort of like Baines use with us! Rowand is not that good people get over it! Big deal he likes the Bears .. give mne some guy that loves soccer and produces for the Sox than some chump thta likes Da' bears and cant do crap! We wanna win baseball games here, not a popularity contest.. hes a great guy but does nothing productive day in and night out for us! f***ing moron. Maybe i am insulting you so that i can get a little vacation and not listen to all this stupid s***?
-
QUOTE(Soxpranos @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 07:28 PM) look up his bases loaded stats ? Thats why the guys is leading the league with 30 something rbi's... yeah ! Two hits in seven at-bats which is a .286 batting average which also means he drove in five runs. In otherwords stfu.
-
Time for me to not watch this half of the inning... yayayay.

Everett looked stupid. I don't think he is clutch considering he got out.
-
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 23, 2005 -> 07:22 PM) Yeah, except the fact that Dunn has more walks, doubles, and home runs, they're pretty much the same player. They both drive runs in at a very bad rate.

Manny ramirez is my favorite outfielder.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) Went and saw "The Island". I wasn't planning on it but saw some decent reviews so figured why not. Not bad, not great either. Summer popcorn movie. Typical stuff. BTW, for those of you who are blind, Scarlett Johannsen is unbelievably hot. I believe there is a scene that she is in some underwear and she didn't like the look of them so she wanted to go nude but bay would not let her.

QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 01:57 PM) So, the dude only allows 1 run since May 4 in 28 games, I snatch him up on my fantasy squad, and he gives up 3 runs in 2/3 of an inning in his first appearance. While I can't complain, as the Sox scored those runs, I'm still confused. Is he not cut out to close games, or is he entitled to an atrocious performance every now and then? LOL, I see that "Fry The Twinkies" was banned. That guy was completely f***ing retarded. Well he has a 25% save percentage in his career... you tell me.

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 12:21 AM) I'm saying he shouldn't be giving up hits like fat people are in line for getting free cake samples. It was happening all night and a big inning was inevitable. I would be fine if he was just rocked in the 4th or some other inning, but the whole night when Buehrle was pitching, you knew the big inning was coming and you just hoped Ozzie would take him out in time. One ''hit'' went off of crede's glove, one ''hit' popped out of rowands glove, one ''hit'' iguchi clearly made an error on but was also ruled an error. The sox should have been credited with five errors last night at least.

Livan Hernandez "99.9% sure" he will pitch no more

QUOTE(sircaffey @ Jul 21, 2005 -> 11:29 PM) I'd be saying, "That was a tremendous move KW made in 2005." I am positive you would be in the minority then.
