  1. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) He's won two games from a pinch hitter's role. That's good enough for me. Numbers mean nothing as a pinch hitter, especially when you never get to hit. So he pitched and hit in all eight other holes? I don't think he single handidly one us two games. He was just a small part in both of those games you are speaking of. If willie never got into scoring position in that one game timo's hit would have meant s***. Nearly everyone overlooked that steal/
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) He may suck, but I figure he's already made his $1 million bucks this year by winning two games already despite absolutely no playing time. He is not a good everyday player, but he has done his job with us for the two years he's been here. He is hitting .224 with an ops of .594. He hasn't earned 50 thousand.
  3. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 08:20 PM) Timo Sucks. Why is he playing. I am wondering the same thing. Honestly.
  4. How good is timo perez? First and second no one out.
  5. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 08:13 PM) nice catch by paulie, hes flashing those defensive all star skills, now he needs to show his hitting Konerko is a middle of the pack defender, alot better first baseman than him and we have one in our minors currently. He picks balls out of the dirt very well but cannot move for anything out of his reach ( most times). Gload> konerko.
  6. Podsednik on second with nobody out twice and cannot score? I love smartball/ozzieball/small ball.
  7. Konerko walks first and second two outs.
  8. QUOTE(AirScott @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 08:05 PM) you're right, but keep in mind it took him a while to realize that when bench players are subbed into the lineup, they don't have to take the place of that player in the order when the game hasn't started. actually I think the record might be the motivation, maybe he's going with the "you don't have to win them all with an 11 game lead on the division" mentality. You have that mentality your lead is cut in half before you can blink.
  9. You cannot fault willie for that strike out, It was clearly outside.
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) He has one of our two hits, and the only ball hit hard. LOL. Timo is a minor league caliber player.
  11. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) Thanks!! Dare I ask who Linda S. is?? Cub troll.
  12. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 07:01 PM) Hold on, she let everyone see her assets for the cash? Wow, what a classy chick. Sounds like someone I'd like to breed with. Scotty boy :headshake Teri hatcher has said she will pose for playboy for ten million dollars. She really has to get over herself... because she really isn't worth it.
  13. Podsednik steals second. 2-1 count to willie.
  14. QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 06:48 PM) The world knows he's going to steal. Yet he continues to outrun 'em. Put him in a later inning and let him run. Hell, tell the other team he's running and dare them to throw him out. ... then he follows that up by getting picked off.
  15. Hammer should like this... http://www.azcentral.com/sports/che...p2main0708.html
  16. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 05:35 PM) He must have done something right to get his team past the "Baby Bulls" and into the second round. The guy is coming off a career year and all you people can do is rip Cleveland for signing him. He is not a superstar, but he is a solid player that does a bit of everything. He can dish it a bit, he can rebound well for a guard, he scores and he can rack up steals. He's not a great three point shooter. He will be fine as the 2nd or 3rd option in Cleveland. I do recall him dropping 33, 9 board, 7 assists, 3 steals and just two turnovers in the big game 5 at Chicago. Or was I just dreaming? He had a good series against the bulls both defensively and offensively... i am not gonna deny it. Fact is he is not a good defender no matter what his steal numbers suggest. If he kept guys in front of him and had 1.5 less steals a game i woul dbe more impressed.
  17. Dye batting sixth behind pierzynski? Couldn't everett and pierzynski be spaced out a little bit more? Two lefties in a row, then a righty, then a lefty? Insanity. Not to mention timo ever playing. :puke
  18. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) He led the NBA in steals last year and was All Defensive First Team. I'd take him over Michael Redd, who has racked up all of his stats the past few team on a team with a bunch of nobodies. Hughes averaged over 20 points last year with Jamison and Arenas hogging the ball as well and got to the 2nd round on a team with no center. Also, comparing the NFL and the NBA makes no sense. He also gets burned on defense the entire game going for those steals. He doesn't lead the league in steals he would have been on the all defensive fourth team.
  19. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 04:52 PM) alright heres my thoughts on the whole trade, it helps both teams, dallas gets defensive veterans and we get a guard/forward and if we get marshall that makes this one hell of a trade, i just wonder what we would do with our other players rotation wise and with the playing time Duhon turned down the lle offer which was three years 5.6 over that time span. Anything more than that cuts into the mle and we NEED the whole mle to sign someone like marshall.
  20. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 04:36 PM) Yeah. AD for Walker straight up. Does Paxson have a hard-on for Chicago guys or what! BTW, Balta, a guy like Raja Bell has been mentioned for a couple years now. Would he fit this role to you? If he was not signing with the suns i am sure his answer would be yes.
  21. QUOTE(Balance @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 02:59 PM) You're kidding, right? Green= sarcasm... for the people that cannot normally catch it.
  22. ^Someone is gonna get yelled at.^
  23. QUOTE(3E8 @ Jul 7, 2005 -> 04:24 PM) Can someone get me payroll from 2000 and 2001? http://www.athleticsnation.com/story/2004/12/27/201439/06
  24. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 12:35 AM) ah i c, i was gonna say didnt know it was possible to grow facial hair under your eyes Did he really say this?
  25. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 12:39 AM) I know that Rowand, on more than one occasion, has commented on the fact that both corner outfielders cover more than ground than those who previously played the positions. Yet, both guys have been criticized for their defense much more than Lee and Ordonez were last year. I never understood that as dye cannot get to anything that's not within 15 feet of him either way. He is the outfield version fo royce clayton. Rare that you make errors when you don't have to move for them. Dye also cannot off any thing do to his lack of speed. Dye's overall defense has been less than average and that is probally being nice. Cheat's assesment was 100% on about podsednik in my opinion.
