QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 04:20 AM) You stated earlier that you hadn't seen Gload in the outfield. I don't know if you were being sarcastic or not, but I have seen him out there. I don't want to see it again. I watch every game ( maybe miss a handful combined in a season) so of course i have seen him play the outfield. I don't use green by the way.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 03:14 AM) Gload is a terrible outfielder. Terrible. I never want to see him out there again. So is everett and you will see him in the outfield again. I don't think 50 games in the outfield (only 31 of those were starts) should define a players defensive ability. I think he can be an adequate outfielder if not better than that. I agree that we should keep the defense as good as possible but a few starts in the outfield for gload would not suddenly make the outfield s***ty.

Happy birthday.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 10:57 PM) I've seen him misplay one ball this year and in spring training when I was down there I'll tell you he was getting outstanding jumps. As I said before I couldn't recall his defense when he was with the brewers so maybe he wasn't a great centerfielder but as of right now I'd classify him as a pretty good left fielder from what I've seen out of him. Obviously it's early but that's my early opinion on him. His arm is also a noodle arm ( wo0t he has one assist that anyone could have made) he also has problems picking the ball up much like rowand who does it every other game and it really pisses me off to no end. I know what i have heard about him and seen from him in the past and he was bad. I can only hope it changes for the better but i do not have high hopes. You don't have to respond since i know how you feel about his defense.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 10:54 PM) Timo can play some CF while Gload can barely play LF or RF, yet Timo isn't that much better defensively than Gload? Ridiculous. Timo is not a center fielder... he is too slow for it. Yes, i know he has played there in the past but he can't get to s*** in the corners and we would feel comfortable with him in center? Timo catches what he gets to, the problem is getting to it.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 10:52 PM) I completely disagree with that. Brewers fans won't i can tell you that much. He misreads balls all the time, gets bad jumps too, he does make up for it most times with his speed... but he cannot be classified a good fielder.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 10:43 PM) Well honestly, where can Gload play? We have Konerko at 1st, Pods in LF, Dye in RF, and Everett at DH. Where can Ozzie fit Gload in? When someone gets rested in the outfield he should be the first one of the bench to replace them, not timo. If you take rowand out shift podsednik into center ( even though he is a butcher in the field himself). If podsednik has a day off put gload in left... and so on. I am not asking for gload to start this year but the first of the bench does not seem silly to say.

Walton is captain obvious for one, for two he has possibly the most annoying voice in all of sports, three he has some of the worst phrases around.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) I wouldn't be so sure about that. Did you see Gload in the outfield last season? Nope, not one bit.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) Not in the outfield, where qwerty wants to see Gload over Timo. We are acting like timo is a gold glove outfielder and he is no where close. I think gload's bat definitely out weighs whatever harm he would do in the field. Gload's bat is also much better than timo's, too bad we are not gonna see him given the chance that he should.
-
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 08:47 PM) I guess mine and yours wanting Gload to be a starter (so long as the conditions were right) got him to be your 'boy'. Other than that, though, you haven't really deserved for him to be your 'boy'. I'd consider that one guy (switching sports for a second) from the 76ers your boy -- Iguadala, is it? Yes, i love iggy, but he does not score 43 .7 points per game so he is not = to or better than deng is. :rolly

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) I wouldn't say it's really been hurting considering we're 12 and 4. I personally like the way the lineup is and as long as the sox are winning I wouldn't change anything. We have been lucky so far. We cannot expect to win 7 out of every 8 one runs ball games. Would be nice to win some of them while feeling comfortable ( like last night). Today we had a man on first and no outs, then it was dye and rowand up, i already wrote the inning off because i knwo at this point and time they are automatic outs. They couldn't even move him over, that is just pathetic in my opinion.

QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 08:10 PM) I actually like it being AJ, Uribe, Crede in the 7,8,9. The only thing I dont really like is where Dye and Rowand are. I would like to see them switched in the batting order. Does it really matter if they switch spots in the line-up? Either way they they have both been pretty s***ty. It is really hurting us considering we have basically gotten zip from those two combined. They need to be broke up with someone, pierz perhaps?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) All of these Jabroni's boy, Qwerty's boy etc. makes me feel glad I don't have a boy. I didn't know i had one...

Miller was one dirty ass player throughout his career... but he was damn clutch. -
