QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 07:40 PM) Only thing I would argue is that "both Okafor and Gordon did a lot for their teams" What? Did the Bobcats make the playoffs???? :headshake

Hopefully ozzie realized he is not a situational pitcher.

QUOTE(sircaffey @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 09:29 PM) Seriously, why is Marte still in? This is stupid. Because gotay is a switch hitter and we do not want shingo to face a lefty. Other than that i do not know why he is still in. Ozzie has said we do not have a set closer at this point and time. -

QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) thought that was qwerty's job? you would never realize he has 10k posts. I have semi retired from game threads. The chat> game thread in my opinion. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 09:07 PM) Big time trouble here. Again, why the f*** do we have a lefty facing righty hitters right now? Marte is not a left handed specialist no matter what you or anyone else thinks. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) If KC had 4 lefties coming up in a row, I would have had no problem with Cotts staying in there. However, Ozzie played right into Pena's lineup by leaving a lefty in to face 5 straight righties. Lets just hope Vizcaino can get out of this inning without allowing the run to score! Cott's is marginally better against righties. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 07:57 PM) Yuck, Cotts coming in and will face top of KC's order. He should not be coming in during a 1 run game. With 4 innings to go, why not go with Vizcaino, Marte, Hermanson, and Shingo? The chances that Cotts gets DeJesus out to leadoff the inning aren't very high. Right you are. -

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 07:51 PM) Politte looks very strong so far this season. His fastball is crisper than it was last year, and his slider has been fooling hitters. When i said he was gonna be huge for us this year people just laughed. -

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 03:13 AM) Michael Cuddyer, Luis Rivas, and Jason Bartlett sure aren't special. Since some of us called Crede "Cruddy," I wonder if Twins' fans call Michael Cuddyer "Cruddyer." They call him crud... at least from what i have seen from a amessage board of theirs.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 12:09 AM) Plus, he did talk about trying to draw more walks and slap the ball around like he did in '03 rather than hit for power, i.e. his '04 season -- which, in turn, resulted in less walks, worse average (I hope, at least). Anyways -- most of the time when a hitter says that, it's all talk -- they get into the season and about ten games in, they're back to their old ways. But it's clear that Pods isn't trying to hit homers. I'm hoping that we'll see a lot more days like yesterday -- 1-2, 1-3, but with two-three walks. I realize he's not gonna walk three times a game, but it's nice to see the effort that's clearly being put forth -- at least, IMHO. I agree. As one of the biggest podsednik ''haters'' i have been impressed thus far. Can only hope he keeps it up all year for us.

That is 2.9% of the money he made this year wo0t. People who make he makes per year give that same percentage. Other peopel donate far more money than he did and no one makes as big of a deal as this. I may just be looking at this the wrong way because of how his personality is.

He is still a big time penis. Basically stole money from the nets and then cried about it.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 02:21 PM) I think May would of stayed if he could of got the other guys to stay with him....I think Marvin could of used another year of college. Indeed, he is clearly not ready at this point and time. But college is not where the money is at. -
QUOTE(quickman @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 08:33 AM) horrible outfielder and did I ever mention that he will never be a starter? he will always be a bench player forever. He was talking about podsednik you know.

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:39 PM) LeBron = #1 fantasy pick in drafts next season. And I got him about #5 bi-atches. No he won't. It will still be garnett.
