  1. You notice how he says. "They are here giving me 110 percent.''
  2. Should we have offered vizquel a third year and wright ten million per year?
  3. Wright will just be terrible in new york. I can already see him having like a five something era there.
  4. According to the Washington Post, Jaret Wright will sign a three-year deal to pitch for the Yankees. The contract is in the same neighborhood of Kris Benson's three-year, $22.5 million contract with the Mets. We think that's too high unless Leo Mazzone comes with him. Wright isn't likely to collapse outside Atlanta, but he might not perform much better than Javier Vazquez did last season. Dec. 7 - 11:05 pm et From rotoworld. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/artic...6-2004Dec7.html If he gets that much they can have him.
  5. We are gonna have to agree to disagree about gibbons.
  6. I am not talking about last year, overall. How much you think he is worth?
  7. His slugging would be higher then.
  8. Never said you said he was the answer. He does nothing well enough at this point in time to start for us. Ops along with slugging and obp are some of the most important stats in the game. Right fielders are suppose to have some of your teams best numbers in each of those categories.
  9. If he had an ops of .900 and good slugging numbers, then i would not care if his obp was .315, which is terrible. He does nothing very well. I don't see a use for him. Also i think comparing his obp to valentin's obp is a good comparison because we all know how little he gets on base.
  10. Not at all, but he will be making around 2.5 which is too much for him imo.
  11. How can you not improve on a .236 average? No matter what he is never gonna be a high obp/ops guy which you want from a right fielder. He is not the answer.
  12. No, he is bad. A right fielder that cannot even have an ops of .800? Valentin has a better career obp, .451 slugging for a right fielder? Mediocore fielder also.
  13. He has tommy john surgery. He is gonna get an incenrive laden one year deal with an option for 2006.
  14. Wilson resigned with the mariners for one year for 1.75. Nomar resigned with the cubs for one year. Ledee signed with the dodgers for two years, 2.5 million. Pratt resigned with the phillies, one year 750,000. Cormier resigned with the phillies for 2 years 5.75 million with 3 million otion for 2007. Walker resigned with the cubs for one year.
  15. I see the first suggestion you made happening. Because hanley ramirez should supposedly be ready for 2006.
  16. Everything suggests he can handle it everyday.

Red sox are getting close to resigning varitek again. His price has dropped alot since his initial request since no other teams had interest for him at that much. I see him resigning, and matheny resigning witht he cardinals with yadier splitting time with matheny.
  19. Every place i read, his problems in boston was blown out of proportion and was not nearly as bad as reported. He does not seem like a dick or a cancer to me. Since he has been on the sox he seems like a pretty good guy.
  20. I have heard that the mets may have signed him for that much to f*** over the yankee$. Since they will be signing two to three pitchers this off-season.
  21. Redman is a lefty that can post a sub 4.25 era. Also rhodes is a good left handed reliever but not for the money he is making. What they got for him was far from a bag of balls.
  22. What has he done before this year that makes you believe other wise?
