Carl Pavano has cancelled his trip to Anaheim in order to return home and begin his offseason workouts. Agent Scott Shapiro still plans to meet with Anaheim, but it doesn't look like the Angels are serious contenders in the bidding. Pavano has received or is likely to receive offers from the Marlins, Red Sox, Orioles, Yankees, Tigers and Mariners. Well he is not a lead-off hitter imo. He does not get on base nearly enough. So i do not really think we have a use for him. He is better off as an 8th or 9th place hitter.

They will trade julio before ryan. There are not many hard throwing left handed relievers in baseball, and we have one of them. They plan on having ryan close for them next year and package julio and hairston together.
