  1. Career Misconduct is what i think you guys are thinking of.
  2. Ortiz does scare me because of all his walks and the fact that he is a fly big time fly ball pitcher. Coming to the a.l. wouldn't help either, but another thing to factor in is the last four years his era has gone up while his walks have gone up and his g/f ratio this past year was 1.10.
  3. I agree he would not be a good starter nut he would be a damn good reliever in the n.l. August 3rd he had an era of 3.08, then by september 6th he had an era of 3.54. But he hit a really rough month that blew his era out of proportion and made it look like he had a worse year than he actually did. He ended the year with a 4.65 era.
  4. He may never pitch again because of his degenerative hip. If he does pitch again this year he will not be close to pitching at 100% so i would stay away from him.
  5. There are several teams after him which is gonna raise the amount of talent that is gonna have to be given up. Whoever gets him is gonna be vastly over paying and is gonna regret it in the long run.
  6. No, percival has been consistent year in year out. Koch was not consistent year in year out before we traded for him. Far from it.
  7. Rowand is one of the best guys in the game for the amount of money he makes. I highly doubt he will go any where any time soon. Especially for zito and hit 0.83 g/f ratio.
  8. He would have to be for them to even consider it.
  9. Marte has had enough chances to start the ninth inning and get the save. He has blown a good percentage of them.
  10. You o.k. there? When you said ''But if u put him in good situations for him, when he has more than a 1 run lead, he is a good option.'' That could have been taken two different ways. One being he would be a good option to close or a good option for the 7th,7th inning. The point is, he is a major league pitcher and should be able to pitch with any size lead or any size deficit.
  11. Kyle. http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?Name=BBDC Jeff. http://www.sports-wired.com/players/profile.asp?Name=CABCJ
  12. Benitez is gonna get 6-8 most likely 8. No way in hell is is gonna get alittle over 5 a year. You are closer on perez but more than likely he will get around 8 million on average per yer because he is the best lefty out there.
  13. Henry blanco's cera is 4.25 and he ranks 13th out of the 27 qualified. So don't use cera as an excuse to give him nearly 2 million dollars over two years. Only thing is really good at is throwing out potentional base stealers.
  14. A closer should be able to close with a one run lead. You should not have to have a 2-3 run lead to feel safe with putting him in.
  15. I don't think they are gonna be willing to pay benitez 6-8 million just to close.
  16. I don't think marte is ever gonna be a closer. His save ratio is one of the wort over the last 3 years. Whenever he is closing he looks shaky as hell. Same goes for politte when it is a close game. It's like they both completely lose it.
  17. The tigers are planning on picking up urbina's options from what i have read. I think it is not fair to expect an era around 1.8-2.2 for marte. The highest politte was hitting last year was aroun 96 and that was only early on in the year. For the most part of the ytear he was cnsistently hitting 94-95.
  18. You really have to get over it. He is nothing like alomar and never will be.
  19. I agree that it would be smart to trade him while his value is pretty high. They could always put colome in the closers role. What i have seen of him this year he looked pretty nasty. If that doesn't pan out they could always give it back to lance carter.
  20. When he returned from his surgery he was still consistenly hitting 95,96,97,98.
  21. Omar Vizquel - SS - Indians ESPN's Peter Gammons reports that the White Sox and Omar Vizquel could be close to agreeing to a two-year, $8 million contract. Of course, GMs aren't supposed to be discussing money with another team's free agents right now. Still, it wouldn't be surprising if this were true. Vizquel is exactly what the White Sox think they need. Oct. 30 - 2:24 pm et From rotoworld. Welcome to soxtalk.
  22. If the most the sox could get for crede is a medicore closer in baez we have problems. I know crede has not exactly lit it up but he is damn cheap and has the potentional to break out at any time. I don't see baez getting dramatically better.
  23. No way they would give up nearly that much talent for baez that is why i asked.
  24. I also know he has said it. But i have been looking for a link for a while and nothing.
