Preseason magic mix
Not good to base your decision on 7 pre season games. Have you seen how the majority of the first round rookies have done? Outside of okafur, harris, deng, and howard it has not been to pretty.

Randy Johnson and Jon Lieber
If rowand has to go in any deal i honestly would not make it except for a few exceptions. He is one of the best players in the game for the money he is making. Also zito would get rocked here, alot.

I don't remember oakland saying they were gonna lock up giambi, foulke, and tejada. They came right out and sais they did not have enough money to do it. But they are gonna build around what they are strongest in and that is starting pitching. He will be resigned this off-season, he will not be delt.

Still too much for one year out of him imo.

They plan on loking hudson up long term this off-season. Zito has always had ''control problems''. But usually he is able to get around them, not this year though. Mulder is good but not great, i would be happy if we got him but not really excited.

Unless we get carl crawford, raul ibanez, jose guillen, larry bigbie our defense in left field will not be upgraded. These were the only other left fielders that were better at range factor.

Why do you think hudson and zito will b ethe cheapest to get in a trade? They have both been better than mulder in their careers. Zito is also the youngest out of them.

The trade doesn't make much sense to me either. They did need a forward but brandon hunter is not exactly the answer. Don't have a clue why they would do such a trade.

McGrady didn't lead the league in scoring or anything.

Tino martinez's option has been declined. Devil Rays declined first baseman Tino Martinez's $8 million option for 2005. Tino gets a $1 million buyout. The Rays will try to re-sign him, maybe for something in the $2 million range. A couple of his former teams, the Yankees and Mariners, might also have interest in bringing him back. E-Rob "Officially" Gone
I think he is referring to the signing of him.

The "realistic" plan
Apparently baltimore does not care about pitching. All that is rumored is they will go after more big bats.
-
Who Forgot To Tell Him Not To Drink The Water?
Probally put him there hoping that if he sees enough off speed pitches he will finnally adjust. But that is not going so well. :headshake
-
The "realistic" plan
He deserves six million a year, seven tops. He gets ten that will be ridiculous.

Two Guys I think We should sign
Agreed, but i am not exactly cconfident in either doing that over a full year. Neither in my opinion are very good catchers. Decent at there very best.
