I can see that happening but they may look for someone who can do the job until he is ready. Someone that will be willing to give up the closers role for him.

They will not just hand him the job. He will start off as either a mop-up pitcher or 6th inning pitcher and work his way up the ladder.

It has been reported that they can only keep two of the big three, and if i had a choice on who to keep it would be hudson and zito.

Hatteberg and durazo are not free agents so this does not exactly make much sense. If this deal did happen some how konerko would be lucky to hit 25 home runs next year.

He is totally different from johnson. He misses on average of 10 starts over the last four years. I don't understand what you are trying to get at. Some players can hold up at this point in their careers, others can't. Brown is one of them that cannot. To make it clear, i want no part of randy johnson.

Old, yes. Injury prone, no. 5 out of the last 6 years he has started 35 games. Can't say that about many pitchers in baseball.

Devin harris was excellent the entire pre season which resulted in the starting job. Whoever does fantasy leagues should look to pick him up because the mavs are gonna be sticking with him unless he gets into a really big slump.

Dye is already decling at the age of 30. Kapler is not a starter, good chance burnitz will retire and baustisa is suitable but like you said, not so exciting.

Actually this year, free agent outfielders either really good and expensive, or just suck. Not much of an in between.

I think zito would struggle to have a 5.5 era here honestly. Buehrle's g/f ratio is in the middle of the pack, zito is one of the worst in baseball. Zito usually pitchers worse away from home, but his numbers away from home are still pretty good for the most part. On the road his era would probally be around 3.5, add that to his 5-5.5 home era and it's not too pretty. Like i said before, if the sox got him i would not be excited, but i would still be happy.

That is probally the case, but i feel lue will have the starting job sooner or rather than later. It should not matter much who has the starting job because they will probally split playing time pretty evenly.
