Since typically a right fielder is suppose to have pretty good power numbers, all they would have to do is slide rowand over to right field. Then hairston would have power numbers comparable to the majority of center fielders in baseball.

If the sox wanted to they could put him in center and move rowand over to right since hairston can play every outfield position.
