  1. Our bullpen in general is ''broken'' after marte, and shingo i really do not have much faith, alittle for politte but that is about it.
  2. What gload has done through out the minors and the majors shows no indication of being an ''easy out''.
  3. I have noticed that also, i mostly like to listen to all the dumbasses there. This one guy was saying how amare would be lucky to become as good as vlade in his prime.
  4. Game leading 23 for deng, but jackson is not far behind with 22.
  5. Makes sense to me to trade someone with a large amount of money on their and they only have 1 year on their contract left. For a player that is cheaper and has multiple years left on their contract
  6. That dick just went to the locker with 41.7 left in the half.
  7. I am happy they no longer have artest, he is one crazy mother f***er. He is yelling at everyone and anyone for no apparent reason. Then he gets benched and he goes and sits with the fans. :headshake
  8. Skiles wants a big scorer coming off the bench and gordon is the the answer for that. Don't worry deng will get around 30 a game this year.
  9. Can you guys imagine the bulls could have only if they didn't trade it all away? :headshake
  10. Other than what wite posted, there were not teams that had financial problems and had to dump salaray like they do now a days. There was also loyalty back then, now there is practically none.
  11. I think 7 years 150 is possible, but 18 million per year is more likely.
  12. They should have drafted andre iguodala, i was saying that months before the draft. But i am still gonna give gordon a full year entire i judge him.
  13. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1917326 TOKYO -- Even David Ortiz was amazed by this home run: a 514-foot shot that hit the lights down the right-field line. "I knew when I hit it that I got all of it," the Boston Red Sox slugger said after the major league All-Stars beat the Japanese stars 5-3 Saturday night in Game 2 of their series. "I thought for a second that it might land in the Dominican [Republic]." Manager Bruce Bochy of the Padres said it was the longest home run he had ever seen in all his years in baseball. Ortiz, who helped power the Red Sox to a World Series title last month, led his touring team to a 7-2 victory in Friday's opener. A day later, he drew gasps from the Tokyo Dome crowd of 52,000 with his solo homer in the bottom of the fourth off starter Shunsuke Watanabe. "It felt like he hit that ball almost twice the length of the stadium," said Chiba Lotte Marines submariner Watanabe, who gave up six hits and three runs in five innings of work. "You can't make any mistakes against these guys." Indians catcher Victor Martinez singled home pinch-runner Marcus Giles of the Braves to break a 3-3 tie in the eighth inning. Brad Wilkerson of the Expos followed with a run-scoring double. Devil Rays outfielder Carl Crawford, the MVP of Game 2, went 3-for-4, including a leadoff homer in the first inning. Crawford also made a spectacular diving catch in the fourth and stole a base in the fifth. Braves right-hander Chris Reitsma got the win with one inning in relief. Francisco Rodriguez of the Angels retired the side in order in the ninth for the save. The teams meet again Sunday in Tokyo before playing in Fukuoka, Osaka, Sapporo and Nagoya. The eight-game series ends in Tokyo on Nov. 14. Major league All-Stars previously toured Japan in 2002, finishing with a 5-3 record. The Yankees and Devil Rays opened the 2004 season by splitting a pair of games at the Tokyo Dome. Since 1908, there have 34 tours of Japan by major league All-Stars, Negro league teams and individual clubs.
  14. They want deng to come off the benchbecause he is explosive. He doesn't want gordon to come off the bench first because, well, he is not explosive.
  15. His role is not to score, whatever he scores is just an added bonus. But if you leave him wide open, like he was for those two three pointers last night he can hurt you.
  16. He will end up getting near that amount, just wait and see, he will get at least 18 million on average per year.
  17. Watching ginobili's dunk on t.v. was awesome, but this clip is still pretty damn good. http://www.phyzik.net/ManuDunk.mpg
  18. I know that, you know that, basically everyone knows that. But boras is the best in the business and always finds ways to get absurd contracts.
  19. Yes he has, there have been numerous threads about it today. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1916771
  20. I know what you are saying, but they can get more from teams by saying, well we really don't have to give him up, because he is a big draw for us. So it is gonna be hard for you to pry him away from us. Then teams will start offering ridiculous amount of talent for one year of him.
  21. If it was a 2 million dollar buyout they would have picked up they option, no doubt about it.
