  1. I knew i would see something like this today if not yesterday. :headshake
  2. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/baseball/ba...001/cwgeo0.html The whole bulls situation is in about the middle of the page. Steinbrenner sold his Bulls interest when Jerry Reinsdorf purchased the franchise in 1985. He still regrets that decision. "I am one of the original dumb guys," Steinbrenner says. "Jerry twisted my arm to stay, but I told him I couldn't stand much more of the winters."
  3. They are fairly easy to find and you only do like 6-9 of the 100 .
  4. I thought that he only owned a part of the bulls throughout the late 80's up until the mid 90's. Are you sure he still is?
  5. I state facts, stats if someone asks or to prove a point, or my opinion on the situation. Just like everyone else does but i guess that is wrong.
  6. I don't remember saying that i don't like you but whatever. You always take little jabs at me and i say nothing in return so i don't think their is really a reason for you to. Maybe you should post alittle bit more about the white sox than the red sox since this is a white sox message board and then you would not get pissed as much. Only time you post anything is when it is red sox related. Also i can guarantee that is anyone would have said. ''They are definitely as bad as the yankees because they are hypocrite. They say the yankees spend too much yet they are second in spending. It's like they don't realize that they are the same as the yankees except to a lesser extent.'' You would have said nothing to them most likely and you know it. The reason you do not like me i feel is because i sided with cerb and you hate him.
  7. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2004/magazine/10/14/bulls/ The road back to the playoffs is long. Can MJ's new protégé pave the way? Ben Gordon can drive, dish, pass and drain the three-pointer. But what has Chicago fans buzzing is his blossoming friendship with one of his Bulls predecessors at shooting guard, a fellow by the name of Michael Jordan. Says the 21-year-old Gordon, "He's sort of taken me under his wing." Drafted with the No. 3 pick -- the same as Jordan in 1984 -- after starring at UConn, Gordon met His Airness this summer while playing pickup games at Hoops the Gym. Gordon had just bought a three-bedroom condo in suburban Northbrook, and Jordan's wife, Juanita, had been his real estate agent, so the two began talking about Gordon's new home and soon struck up a friendship. Jordan has taken Gordon to a Cubs game and had him over for a barbecue. Still, says Gordon, "We've never had a chance to sit down and talk about basketball. Most of what I've learned from him has been out there on the court playing -- hints on how to get shots off and stuff like that." Bulls coach Scott Skiles just hopes that Gordon -- a Bobby Jackson-type who can play both guard spots -- picked up a few of MJ's defensive tricks. "We're going to need Ben to defend [the two spot]," says Skiles, knowing that there'll be matchup problems when the 6'2" Gordon plays alongside 6'3" point guard Kirk Hinrich. "Ben's strong and has a low center of gravity. He's a competitor, and I think he'll be a fast learner." With Hinrich, 23; Tyson Chandler, 22; Eddy Curry, 21; and 19-year-old Duke rookie Luol Deng all slated to play key roles for the Bulls, Gordon's rapid development could make the youth movement in Chicago complete. He might not start right away, but he'll be counted on heavily. If he can score double figures while holding his own on D, he'll make the Bulls an improved team -- and his new pal proud. -- Marty Burns they are ranking them 13th in the east but i really think they have a shot a 12th.
  8. Most ''experts'' are saying the best chandler can do is 10-12 points per game and 12-14 rebounds per game. He has no shot whatsoever unless he is tipping a shot back or dunking. Anything past that is too far for him.
  9. Richie Sexson - 1B - Diamondbacks Richie Sexson was offered a three-year deal by the Diamondbacks despite the team's concerns about his shoulder. The deal may or may not contain vesting option years. "It's a significantly improved proposal, which I think Casey (Sexson's agent Casey Close) acknowledged was significantly improved, and he's going to talk to Richie I suspect in the next 24 hours and get back to us," Diamondbacks GM Joe Garagiola Jr. said. Oct. 27 - 11:31 am et Source: Arizona Republic Eric Hinske - 3B - Blue Jays The Blue Jays are trying to trade Eric Hinske to the Reds so that they can pursue Corey Koskie in free agency. No word on what the Jays are looking to receive. The Reds aren't a great fit for Hinske. He's owed $12.95 million over the next three seasons, and top prospect Edwin Encarnacion should be ready in 2006. The Tigers or Mariners might make more sense. Oct. 27 - 12:16 pm et Mike Lowell - 3B - Marlins Mike Lowell seemed optimistic that he'd back with the Marlins while speaking on a radio show yesterday. "I think we're definitely moving in the right direction," Lowell told WQAM radio's Hank Goldberg on Tuesday. "I think something is really going to get worked out. ... I think [the Marlins] believe the stadium issue is something that can be attained." Sources told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel that a deal could be announced as soon as today that would keep Lowell around for at least one more year. The Marlins may attempt to guarantee the $25.5 million Lowell is supposed to earn over the final three years of the deal he can opt out of next week. Oct. 27 - 12:25 pm et Source: South Florida Sun-Sentinel Randy Johnson - S - Diamondbacks The Yankees may use Javier Vazquez as bait in their next attempt to acquire Randy Johnson. The Diamondbacks might be interested if the Yankees are willing to pay a third of the $34.5 million Vazquez is owed over the next three years and take Johnson's $17 million salary for 2005. Three years of Vazquez is worth quite a bit more than one of Johnson, especially since the Diamondbacks don't figure to be very good next season no matter what they do this winter. Oct. 27 - 12:46 pm et Source: Newark Star-Ledger Rafael Palmeiro - 1B - Orioles Orioles re-signed first baseman-designated hitter Rafael Palmeiro to a one-year contract. This is probably a bad idea, but at least he'll come cheaper than he did last year and it's not like he's blocking any great internal alternatives at first base. Still, why make the move now? What if Carlos Delgado or Richie Sexson comes cheaper than expected? What if someone with actual upside gets non-tendered? Palmeiro rebounded at the end of the year, but he wasn't an asset as a regular and he's only likely to continue to decline at his age. Oct. 27 - 5:56 pm et All via Rotoworld. I posted this because i felt they all could possibly have connections with us one way or another.
  10. They need a ground ball pitcher probally less than any team in baseball since there park is insanely big.
  11. I recall rotoworld saying something along the lines that it would be a smart idea for the tigers to go after him or they have alot of interest in lowe. But that is all i have ever seen.

    obese man

I hate when show like maury or sally jesse raphael have litte kids on the show, say 6 and under. The kids are like 190 pounds at the age 4 and the parents do nothing but laugh about it and say well he/she is just being a kid and having a good time. Parents that let there kids get away with eating everything and anything need to be b**** slapped. One mother said she let her daughter eat daisies when they were in the park because she was hungry. :headshake
  13. Yankees are not too high on his list. But like yasny said in the post below yours money talks.
  14. I get you now. Seems like a was wise choice to trade for koch who could have possiblt had about 15 blown saves the year. But he was lucky enough to have the offense help him out. Koch has and always will be more shaky than foulke. I know you probally do not agree but that is how i feel.
  15. Marlins is his number one choice and the red sox are number two. So i take it as he would not mind to go to the a.l.
  16. I am saying the majority of closers are like foulke and blow games against the yankee$, red sox, twins, etc. The majority of a closers blown saves are usually not against the devil rays, reds, tigers, etc. I am not saying they don't blow saves against devil rays, reds, tigers, etc but it is just less often.
  17. Makes sense to me. Most closers don't blow games against devil ray type of teams. You look at closers blown saves and the majority of them are against upper tier teams.
  18. Doubt that. This is what he said when he first joined. ''Im a diehard Red Sox fan, but when my parents got divorced and i moved out to Chicago with my mom and brothers, and found out that everyone in my school was a Cub fan, I had to be different, and while 9/10's of my hearts in Boston, that 1/10th is on the South Side.''
  19. JR. Smith has been excellent thus far. Also devin harris has impressed so far, rumor is he may take terry's starting job away by the all-start break. But i don't really see that happening.
  20. You honestly make me laugh. No one can say anything bad about the red sox without you freaking out. Believe it or not, this is not a red sox message board and you need to get over the fact that the alot of us could care less that they won and could care less about the red sox period. Did i say anything that is worthy of being called a ''jackass'' because i don't think there was. Oh and by the way sorry for forgetting the s.
  21. They plan on having gordon come off the bench the entire year. Which will make it hard for him to win it unless he starts going insane and he starts over nocioni. Alot of places i have seen rate howard first, deng/nocioni 2nd/3rd. Everyone has dropped gordon to about tenth on their lists.
  22. He is not over-rated or under-rated. Everyone knows who he is and everyone knows he is not vlad except himself.
  23. They aredefinitely as bad as the yankees because they are hypocrite. They say the yankees spend too much yet they are second in spending. It's like they don't realize that they are the same as the yankees except to a lesser extent.
  24. Makes me want to weep. But even though i hate them so f***ing much you have to give props to them.
  25. I just want to say i love the addition to your signature.
