  1. Now let's score a run or two and call it a game. Then tomorrow I'll be in attendance for the series win!
  2. Don't know why, but I don't feel well about Santos going up against Ramirez . . .
  3. QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Jun 21, 2011 -> 10:17 AM) He didn't hit a homer...he singled up the middle. He homered later. Yes, you're right. I stand corrected. And I guess you can only say that IF Gavin managed to get Castro out then you would have DeWitt leading off the next inning?
  4. I would have pitched to him. The guy only had one homerun coming into the game and of course he's going to get ONLY his second AGAINST us . . .
  5. This only hurts more because we're playing the Cubs. But seriously, only 3 runs and that coming in the 1st inning?!
  6. I didn't even realize the Sox played this afternoon. Not like I missed much . . .
  7. Did someone take Juan Pierre's at-bat when that homerun came to be? Seems like this guy can never hit the ball past the diamond.
  8. Where does Ozzie currently live? If he doesn’t live in Venezuela then when was the last time he took residence there? I don’t want to stir up a political controversy but he could be on the same boat as Penn as far as living anywhere in Venezuela. Sure he was born and raised there but he now lives a life far from being standard. Geez, I have seen interviews at his personal home and he would not have that in his native country so of course he will rule out those who live under his luxurious life.
  9. I'll admit that Santos is the guy to close things out (at least 90% of the time) but he showed last night that if his slider is not working then he's basically a one pitch pitcher and that fastball is nothing special. It's straight and very hittable.
  10. Can I admit and say that not one guy in our bullpen really has the "stuff" to make the other team think "we're screwed"?
  11. Pierre can only dream of making such a play.
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 6, 2011 -> 11:01 PM) Still eight back in the loss column, which is only picking up four games in that total in this whole stretch. So if the Sox are just three games behind the Indians by the All-Star break you will still be counting on that loss column?? SMDH.
  13. There’s perhaps one or two posters out there that still believe Dunn will make it well enough where this 1/3 of baseball will be balanced out when it’s all said and done. I wholeheartedly believe they must be drinking something that should be outlawed and be prohibited from making such assumptions until they are hazed with an intervention on how to “accept things as they are”. If serious attention is not received then harm to that person’s health or psyche can be at risk.
