  1. QUOTE (Rooftop Shots @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 07:22 AM) Here's one for ya! How about a tour with S.R.V. and Hendrix playing together? Styles and personal music choices may clash, but some pretty serious guitar playing would be brought to the audience. There may be some faster guitar players, but nobody can make a guitar "speak" to you in so many different ways and so many different levels than SRV, Hendrix and Jeff Beck. I could see it happening. Stevie was heavily influenced by Hendrix early in his musical career. While gigging with a few bands who liked playing covers of the Beatles and such, SRV was more lenient towards the more complicated material such as Hendrix, Freddie King and Lonnie Mack. In my humble opinion, Stevie managed to play well above his influences and his early departure has not revealed anyone close to matching such intensity and love for the music as he had.
  2. If the genie can bring back Stevie Ray Vaughan from the Heavens to play with Double Trouble than I would definitely be buying my first album in a good while.
  3. The Twins have a bunch of nobody's in their rotation (Liriano the exception) keeping them in the race for the Central and they add a guy like Cliff Lee and you can only imagine how potent that ball club can be down the stretch.
  4. After today and yesterday I could care less who wins. This World Cup has been a big kick in the groin.
