  1. Damn. Tejada walks and here comes Marte who can't get lefties out for s***.
  2. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 02:57 PM) WOW! This is almost too good to be true. AJ!! I wonder if I can change my Pick to Click now to AJ? f*** no you can't. I chose AJ so...

  4. Cooper just went out there and the next pitch Contreras offers ends up as a HR!? Wow... That’s 20 HR’s given up by Jose this year. :headshake

  6. That’s f***ed up. I don’t like the Twins or Torii that much, but I hope the guy recovers quickly. He’s one of the best defensive center fielders and the play that he tried to make, or made, last night shows what he’d do just to get an out.
  7. Uribe with a double. The Sox must love facing Chen...
  8. Yeah, McKnight really f***ed with her life. I also haven’t heard any of McCready’s work, but she’s gone through a lot and I hope she recovers.
  9. Happy Birthday Athomeboy_2000!!! Here's hoping you have a good one...
  10. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Jul 29, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) Soriano, Matthews: Texas continues to say they are not for sale, but the Mets continue to think Soriano is theirs for the taking. Anyone mention that Jim Hendry is seriously interested in trading for Soriano? He's willing to give up Correy Patterson.
  11. I'm surprised Barajas didn't kick Samme's ass.
  12. The hell with Morgan. He’s just jealous that Sandberg is better than he is. BTW, I heard something about Morgan being somewhat racist again this past Sunday (when the Cubs were on ESPN). Because he was agreeing with Baker about something? Anyone know if this is true or if it sounds true?
  13. We were winning without Frank and we’ll win without Frank. Sure he helps this team out more than he hurts it, but the man just wasn’t the same. Sure he hit a s*** load of HR’s, but was not walking as much as before. Like many, I also believe his career with the Sox may be over. Definitely my favorite player of all time. Him and Ventura made me a Sox fan. Well... basically the early 90’s White Sox convinced me to be a die-hard Sox fan 4ever.

    Clement

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 08:11 AM) Once he comes back, it'll be interesting to see how he reacts mentally. I heard someone on ESPN ( can't remember who ) talking about a pitcher who got hit with a line drive ( again, can't remember who.....it was 4:15 in the morning when I saw it, okaaaaaaaay???? ), but he said the guy would visibly flinch when he released a pitch after that. Clement will be shaky on hits up the middle, that's a given. Glad to see that Clement didn't get seriously hurt, and I hope he does make a full recovery, both physically and mentally. The same can be said about Prior. When he came back from that freak injury he shut down the White Sox at the Cell. But things could be different with Clement. Here’s hoping Matt recovers without a problem...
  15. Steinbrenner already made a blockbuster move. He got AL LEITER.

    Clement

f***... just reading this gives me goose bumps. I haven't heard anything concerning Clement from the TV so I just found out. Hope Clement is all right.
  17. ... so how long is this asshole going to be on the air? BTW, he said we should start looking at the Bears. :headshake
  18. I am hearing his bulls*** right now. He says he will be taking calls shortly. Someone should call and go crazy on him.
  19. I hate to say it (like many), but I much rather face the Twinkies in the playoffs if they win the WC. The Sox just can’t seem to win at the Athletics ballpark.
  20. He’ll lead the league in BA. On Base % as well. But that’s all. Andruw Jones is having a career year as well and is currently tied with Lee in Hr’s and C. Lee with the Brewers is driving in runs almost all the time. I find D. Lee to be a pretty quiet guy, isn’t as annoying as Samme was, and is more fun to watch.
  21. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 09:37 AM) Some of you folks b**** just for the sake of b****ing.
  22. Weekend Box Office July 22 - 24 1.) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory $28,300,000 2.) Wedding Crashers $26,200,000 3.) Fantastic Four $12,275,000 4.) The Island $12,100,000 5.) Bad News Bears $11,500,000 Despite a flood of new film choices, moviegoers spent their time and money catching up on existing hits as the top three films remained unchanged from last weekend. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory held onto the number one spot, Wedding Crashers enjoyed an exceptional hold in second place, and Fantastic Four stayed put in third. The new futuristic sci-fi thriller The Island was a total disaster failing to find paying customers while the sports comedy Bad News Bears scored a mild opening. The urban drama Hustle & Flow and the horror sequel The Devil's Rejects each connected with their respective audiences while the documentary March of the Penguins made a triumphant appearance in the top ten despite a more limited release.
