He can’t get a left-hander out, he can’t get a right-hander out, the man can’t get anyone out! What the hell is his significance to this ball club? If the White Sox do make it to the ALCS I would be more than happy if Marte is somehow released and bring B-Mac in to replace him. Brandon is much better against left-handers.
  3. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 7, 2005 -> 05:48 PM) Ride Duque's hot hand or go to the setup men? Get Cotts in. He knows how to retire lefties and righties pretty quickly unlike someone.
  4. RELEASE DAMASO MARTE!!!
  5. So what exactly is Marte's purpose of being on this team!!!?????
  6. Let's go Freddy!!! We need you to be sharp, baby. Let's not give the Carmines any hope. for a W.

Happy Birthday! Hope you like the prize that the White Sox offered this afternoon.

Definitely The Loop for me. You gotta love Monday nights from 9pm to 10pm. Its a full hour of Floydness.
  9. Am I the only one who saw Scott f***in’ Podsednik hit a three-run HR? This must be heaven. Let's get 'em tomorrow!
  10. Happy Birthday IlliniKrush!!! Here's hoping you have a good one...
  11. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 10:10 PM) WGN will also carry ESPNs feed for the 1st 3 games!!! If that is true, then I am very grateful. We just got our cable disconnected a couple of hours ago so now I have to look at WGN or FOX to provide me White Sox baseball.
  12. Sorry if this has been asked already, but will the 1st game be on FOX or WGN? Just want to make sure because I want to tape the game.

QUOTE(Felix @ Oct 2, 2005 -> 04:01 PM) I would rather Vizcaino's 3.73 ERA than El Duque's 5.12 The only reason Vizcaino has an ERA under 4 is because the other guys in the bullpen help him out. Take, for example, yesterday. Vizcaino left the bases loaded with only 1 out and Politte came in and shut down the offense. If it weren’t for Cliff, than his ERA would be hovering around 4. There’s been plenty of times that he’s been left off the hook.
  14. OZZIE’S MANAGERIAL SCREWUPS. Sorry that I wrote that in caps. There is no doubt in my mind that Guillen will still use 3 different guys in one inning if he feels like doing so. That will just increase the risk of having no one to go to if a game goes to extra innings. Marte can’t get lefties or righties out. He has small flashes of excellence, but all of a sudden the wheels fall off and then someone like Politte has to come in and mop up his f***-ups. A man like Neal Cotts, whose been awesome against righties and lefties all year, can go out there and give you a quick 1-2-3 inning whether facing right-handers or left-handers.
  15. September 30 - October 2 1.) Flightplan $15,038,000 2.) Serenity $10,141,000 3.) Tim Burton's Corpse Bride $9,755,000 4.) A History of Violence $8,200,000 5.) Into the Blue $7,000,000 A-list superstar Jodie Foster easily retained the box office crown with her action thriller Flightplan fending off competition from a flood of new releases to stay at number one for the second straight weekend. Moviegoers yawned at most of the new films entering the multiplexes with the sci-fi action pic Serenity delivering the best performance among the freshman class. Following four consecutive frames when ticket sales beat 2004, the marketplace slumped and fell sharply versus last year to kick off the all-important fourth quarter. The session also saw the lowest gross for a number one film all year.
  16. Just got home from school and I feel like saying... f*** YEAH!!!!!! f*** THE INDIANS. f*** ALL OF THE CRITICS WHO DIDN'T BELIEVE IN US AND f*** ALL OF THOSE WHO BELIEVE THIS TEAM WON'T GO DEEP. WE HAVE TO BELIEVE!!!!!! HERE'S TO WINNING IT ALL!!!!!
  17. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 28, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) Losing Lee, Ordonez, Konerko and maybe even Thomas all in the span of two years? My God, we could have a weaker lineup than the Royals. It would be damn foolish if trying to sign him wasn't their #1 priority in the offseason. I second this post.

  19. I would definitely like to see Brandon in next year's starting rotation. He looks ML ready. A rotation of Buehrle, Garland, Garcia, Contreras, and McCarthy is sick.

  21. 1.) Flightplan $24,646,000 2.) Tim Burton's Corpse Bride $20,130,000 3.) Just Like Heaven $9,800,000 4.) Roll Bounce $8,000,000 5.) The Exorcism of Emily Rose $7,500,000 Jodie Foster flexed her box office muscle and beat out the tag team of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp to claim the number one spot in North America with her new action thriller Flightplan. Burton's animated film Corpse Bride still generated a strong opening in second place while the frame's other new national release, the skating comedy Roll Bounce, enjoyed a solid start of its own. Moviegoers showed much interest in the collection of new films and drove overall ticket sales to one of the best September performances ever.

  23. Orlando is old as hell. The man needs to retire. If I'm not mistaking, he had over 100 pitches in today's short outing. I say its McCarthy time.
