  1. They decide to change his mechanics 8 years later?? It’s not going to work as expected, IMO. Time for Woody to move to the bullpen or be traded.
  2. It is very dark outside right now, 2:49pm CT, and hopefully the rain does stay for a while.
  3. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 19, 2005 -> 03:02 PM) good for baseball, terrible for everything else. Talking about baseball, our baseball field is dry as hell. The whole grass is yellow. Damn groundskeepers can't afford to water the field.
  4. Happy Birthday Cheat!!!
  5. QUOTE(fry the twinkies @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 07:01 PM) The Cubs still have a shot. They have 14 head-to-head w/ the Cards, 10 w/ the Astros, and 6 w/ Atlanta. A shot at the division or WC? Hopefully you’re talking about the WC. If its the WC you’re talking about than yes they do have a shot. With Wood and Prior back healthy, and if they stay healthy, they have a very good shot of going to the postseason. And if they make it they have a very good chance of going deep into those playoffs. But that is why I hope they choke.
  6. QUOTE(fry the twinkies @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 06:57 PM) Would that "other team" happen to be the Cubs? YES! I imagined no one would have a clue what team I was talking about....
  7. I'm wishing they win the WC that way some other team doesn't make it.

Isn’t that Jack? If so than my uncle is always listening to that station on the car. I cannot stand it.
  9. $2.20 in Black Oak and $2.30 in Merrillville.
  10. 1.) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory $55,380,000 2.) Wedding Crashers $32,225,000 3.) Fantastic Four $22,725,000 4.) War of the Worlds $15,000,000 5.) Batman Begins $5,620,000 A lethal one-two punch from a pair of debuting comedies led the North American box office to a busy weekend. Warner Bros. went after families with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory while corporate cousin New Line connected with adults with the raunchy Wedding Crashers which together injected over $87M in new business into the marketplace to lead the box office to a healhty gain over last year. With four different films grossing $15M or more, some much needed depth returned to the charts.
  11. Would have been a lot better if this thread were brought up after the Oct. 2 game. Oh well. I guess someone else will bring it up. And hopefully we'll be in the playoffs by that time.
  12. Like many, I wouldn't want to face the Cardinals. When I think of them I think of: Pujols Edmonds Rolen Walker Eckstein Sanders ... just about the whole f***ing team!
  13. I didn’t view the game but did hear Rooney and Farmer. Very nice to see Garland get his 14th win. It’s pretty much a fact that every time Garland takes the mound he will factor into a win or lose. Now let's the Tigers as well.
  14. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 03:32 PM) 12 GAME LEAD.
  15. He has that filthy curveball. Made a couple of batters look stupid. BTW, how about Clemens? He came into that game having allowed only 1 earned run all season! That is sick...
  16. What AL Central team wouldn’t go crazy when the White Sox are running away with the division!

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) Mike Jones? You haven't heard of Mike Jones? Mike Jones is the next big thing to hit rap. That's right. Mike Jones. You'll be hearing a lot about Mike Jones. Mike Jones, b****. Mike Jones.
  18. Mark Buehrle almost got f***ed in the 9th inning. Knowing how many times Buehrle has been denied of a win because of bullpen explosion my heart almost stopped for a second. Oh well... the Sox are 60-29 (31 games above) and have won the series. Let's go for the tomorrow.
  19. f***... Shingo is getting in trouble... yet AGAIN.
  20. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 16, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) They put him in on opening day in a 1-0 game. Yeah, but isn't that before he got his ass kicked on April 7?
  21. There's Shingo pitching against the Tribe who completely own his ass. This is definitely his last day with the Sox. You just don't put a guy who's been owned by such a team like the Indians.
