July 11, 200520 yr I had to fill-up on Friday, but when I saw the price I wanted to wait a day or two to see if the price came down at least a little bit. No such luck so I filled up yesterday after Church . I use 87 octane and it was $2.459 a gallon (I really hate that nine at the end - why not just bump it up to the nearest whole penny?!). I think the 93 octane was around $2.759 a gallon. :puke Getting used to it as there is not much I can do about it at this time. So what is the price in your neighborhood?
July 11, 200520 yr $2.25 again. It went from 2.25 on Thursday to 2.49 on Friday right back to 2.25 on Sunday. And honestly I don't know how gas isn't closer to $3.00 a gallon with the way that crude has gone up in the last month.
July 11, 200520 yr I admit the prices SUCK! But let's have fun, let's have one of our UK folk tell us their prices!!!

Gas where we are is about 2.45-2.55
July 11, 200520 yr Author QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 01:06 PM) I admit the prices SUCK! But let's have fun, let's have one of our UK folk tell us their prices!!! My dad always talks about the price of petro (sp?) back in Ireland (before he came here). When my aunt and uncle were here on a visit from Ireland, they were talking about the price of gas there and here and how they were used to high prices.
July 11, 200520 yr A little different perspective out here in Arizona. I pay 2.23 for .87 octane on base and its anywhere from 2.29 to 2.35 a gallon in town.
July 11, 200520 yr $2.63 or so here, but then again, look at where I'm typing at. See, this is why my only transportation is a bicycle. If you're crying paying $2.25, be worried, because it's a lot more likely to go up in the next 10 years than it is to go down. And up by a lot too.
July 11, 200520 yr QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 01:11 PM) I nearly cried paying 2.26 today. same price here.
July 11, 200520 yr Gas prices have dropped to under $59/barrel. Around me it's in the neighborhood of $2.43.
July 11, 200520 yr The last time I filled up it was just over 2 bucks a gallon. I intentionally didn't stop at a place where the gas was 2.26 (ethanol) because I thought it was high for the area.
July 11, 200520 yr $2.19 Keep in mind that we are paying a huge amount of tax on the gas. It's the ultimate user tax. http://www.gaspricewatch.com/usgastaxes.asp In Illinois you are paying $0.184 Federal $0.19 State Plus any city or county taxes added.

Remember when Ross Perot was pining for a 50 cent increase in the federal gas tax? I wonder how well that would have gone over today.
July 11, 200520 yr QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 06:46 PM) Remember when Ross Perot was pining for a 50 cent increase in the federal gas tax? I wonder how well that would have gone over today. He would have asked for $1.00 today.
July 11, 200520 yr $.50 then would have made gas what it should have been then and we wouldn't be b****ing about these prices. Gas is still cheap... compared to what it could be.
July 11, 200520 yr QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 07:47 PM) Million Dollar Baby was pretty shocking to me. Wrong thread there killer.
