  1. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Aug 8, 2005 -> 09:01 AM) For many of the suburbians in Dallas/Fort Worth, school starts TODAY. Unbelieveable. They must get out in early May then...
  2. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/more...ex.html?cnn=yes is all I can say.
  3. Congrats Mike to you and the Mrs.
  4. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Aug 5, 2005 -> 08:48 AM) Thats Boston Gammons for you...not a real surprise he is drooling and spanking it with a thumb up his ass while talking about the BoSox. Exactly. Every time I see Gammons’s face on SportsCenter I quickly change the channel. The man just doesn’t fit into the Sports Analyst job because of his obsession with the Red Sox
  5. It’s funny how an organization can praise their own manager when his team is having success, but all of a sudden fire him because the team is struggling to win. The situation that the O’s are in is not pretty, but fingers should not have been pointed at Mazzilli. His starting rotation can’t even go out there for at least 5 innings and Lee had no option but to go to the bullpen at an early time of the game. Plus, it doesn’t help when the offense isn’t clicking.
  6. May I ask why you're in a Cubs message board?
  7. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 11:14 PM) http://www.godhatesamerica.com/ghfmir/flie...nformation.html I'm thinking of taking the short trip over from Valparaiso in my Gay Pride shirt to divert some attention away from the families involved in this. Damn crazies. Please make sure you tell us how it went. I was there at Portage last night and had I known about this earlier I would have went along with you.
  8. QUOTE(ChWRoCk2 @ Aug 4, 2005 -> 10:36 AM) Yes that is all he had to do, he probably forgot that bases were loaded and tried to get him in a run down I have to admit that if I were in Barrett's situation I’d probably do the same thing as he did. Its kind of confusing when you see the replay, but once you think about it, it’s not all that hard.
  9. Mine is: "Another Brick in the Wall (Part II)" -- Pink Floyd
  10. The force lead me to this message board. Someone at the MLB boards gave me a link to this place and I have been hooked ever since.
  11. I also agree that there is too much Bears talk. I love the Bears, but they’re not grabbing my attention this season as much as before. Probably because the Sox are making history.
  12. Seems like Scoop didn’t have anything to write, so he just went off by writing about racism and how Chicago just has about one black sports-talk show.
  13. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Aug 2, 2005 -> 09:57 PM) I'm a little worried with all the walks of late. But it's nice to see B-mac pitching well. Well, it seems like the BB’s aren’t hurting him that much. As long as he can get the next guy(s) out without the walks coming back to bite him, then he should do all right.
  14. Happy Birthday to all three!!!
  15. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Aug 1, 2005 -> 12:53 AM) They will be a very scary team in the 2nd half. If the team in general can stay half way healthy, I see them taking the Wild Card. Ummmm.... aren’t we forgetting about the Houston Astros? These guys have been on fire since the 2nd half started. Their top three of Oswalt, Pettite, and Clemens is sick. Their #4 guy can be alright at times (I can’t remember his name), but they’re the favorites to win the WC. Not to mention that they have Lidge to finish a game off. So even if the Cubs are healthy I still don't think they can win the WC. They're a team that relies on the HR way too much.
  16. Doesn’t Palmeiro have a son? What a good example he’s showing. :headshake
  17. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article...t=.jsp&c_id=mlb A lefty with a nice 2.45 ERA. I wonder why the Sox never talked about trying to acquire him...
  18. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jul 31, 2005 -> 04:25 PM) Where'd Gerut get traded to? Pittsburgh Pirates.

  21. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 10:58 AM) I wouldn't be surprised if it was Giambi again. It really looks like he's gone back on the juice in the past few weeks. Not just the good numbers returning, but he's beginning to look bigger again. ^^^^
  22. If you were to tell a newbie baseball fan that Sammy hit more than 20 HR’s in the month of June about 6 years ago than that person would not believe you.
  23. QUOTE(Big Hurt Way Back @ Jul 30, 2005 -> 11:21 AM) I'm ecstatic. No more looking at that ugly face of yours!!!!
  24. NOW... who pitches the bottom of the 9th? That is if Hermanson is not available.
  25. I don't know about you guys, but Marte looks a lot more comfortable. His mechanics don't look as ugly as before.
