GAME THREAD 7-16-2005 SOX vs INJUNS
Sox game back. I was enjoying the Yanks and Sox game better.
-
Yanks just keep getting older...
LMAO How old is Leiter?? His stuff is flat. He struggled in Spring Training and he is struggling now. He couldn’t pitch at all in Dolphin Stadium, which is a pitchers park, and now he is coming to the Bronx! The Red Sox are going to bat around a s*** load of times.

Eminem Retires
Great. Now he should take 50 Cent with him.

GAME THREAD 7-15-05 SOX vs TRIBE
Ozuna is 4 for 5. I would love to see this guy play SS and have Uribe on the bench for a while. Juan just isn't doing it offensively this season and he is in the starting lineup way too much.

Pick to Click Contest All-Star Break Standings
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 13, 2005 -> 02:12 PM) You have soxnbears01, EvilJester99, Sox1422, Credepopsup, danman31, POTUSChris, ChWRoCk2, FlaSoxxJim, Goldmember, DBAH0, greasywheels121, mreye, rangercal, and Spod=ratings all within a hot streak of taking that prize away from you. Piece of cake. But seriously, I am having lots of fun with the PTC. I’m usually very good at these kind of things and I don’t surprise myself by being in 1st place as of now. Hopefully my success in the 1st half can transfer to the 2nd (hopefully the same can happen to our Sox ).

That movie would have never popped in my mind if it weren't for your post. Titanic was a real shocker. -Forrest Gump -Night of the Living Dead -Road to Perdition -Collateral Damage -Easy Rider

Attendance Trends
QUOTE(C_LEE45 @ Jul 8, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) its kinda scary when ever the sox draw a good crowd they lose, lets hope that changes. Its actually kind of sad. You figure there’s a lot of bandwagon fans, they come to the Cell, and just to see the Sox lose. Hopefully it does change.

Kenny Rogers
INCREDIBLE. The man should get showered with boos. Oh well... he'll come back to earth in the 2nd half. Then we'll see if he still has All-Star #'s.
-
Hell of a 1st half....
Man, I just hope that the success from the 1st half can transfer to the 2nd half. Here are a couple of guys that I would like for them to improve offensively: Konerko, AJ, Uribe, Crede of course, and Rowand. AJ has been spectacular as the catcher but not as good offensively. Yes, he has delivered some memorable clutch hits, but the man is a career .290 hitter and I believe he is batting right around .250 as of now. He’ll heat up though. I know he will.

Crede's back woes...
Seeing the baseball bounce off of Ozuna’s glove down at 3rd base makes me want to have Crede back in the lineup. I’m not a big Crede fan at all but I do have to admit that I missed the guy over the weekend. I hope he recovers quickly.

Actors who are Under Rated
I don’t know how he is in real life, but I can tell you this: Scorsese and De Niro found a great man who can act and not disappoint. His performance in Raging Bull, which earned him an Academy Award, was good enough to get me to watch the rest of his other films. Another good one is Casino.

He may not believe in dinosaurs...
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 08:59 PM) Signing Kong next year would be a waste of money. He'll demand a lot of money and he's a 1 tool player. He rarely hits to right field anymore, can't run, pops up like it's going out of style and hits awful with RISP. Keep that money and use it to bolster the pitching staff. Have Dye play 1st. He can start in spring training next year. Carl can play RF next year. That’s not a very bad idea. From what Ozzie has said, Dye is very athletic and will play 1st base just to give Pauly some rest. He didn’t do bad at all when the Devil Rays were here. I love your idea and hopefully the idea will be thought of by KW.

He may not believe in dinosaurs...
Carl is a definite key as to why the Sox are 28 games over .500. It is just hard for Ozzie to have both Carl and Frank in the lineup cause if he does have them both, he is going to have to give Pods or Dye some rest. And IMO, Pods is an everyday player and Dye has been very hot since the weather has gone up. How about having Carl in CF for a couple of times? Aaron hasn’t showed much offensively.

Wunsch's Season Is Over.
That's horrible. I would have liked if Wunsch were with us (instead of Kevin Walker), but injuries were something he couldn't avoid.

Story on Bartman
DAMN.... that was a long read, but a good one. I had been wondering what happened to Bartman before I read that article and I have to say that I am very surprised to see that he is still living in the same home even though thousands of people can go out and look for him there.
