Slow runners make their run expectancy go up. You should not be hitting and running with fast runners because there's better opportunities for them on the basepaths.

Highly disagree with that. It makes a lot more sense to hit and run with someone slow And Mendick has a league average contact rate. That was the time to do it if youre going to do it. And he got the perfect pitch to do it with. I dont know what that swing was.

Hit and running is hardly small ball. That was a fine time to do it and that was the pitch to do it on. Didn't execute.

Nah. Engel is fine in RF, very least as a platoon. Hes elite defensively compared to Mendick so at least a lot more playable in that regard.

I still have to think the delay was because of them not having enough workers. Theres very obviously a shortage at the park. It seems they could have sold limited single game tickets otherwise.
