Okay, so looked it up. Putnam is striking out 14 per 9!!!!! Holy s***, has to be by far best I'm the AL. Yeah, definitely wait until his era is out of the high 3s
-
Why Putnam? Dude has absolutely elite stuff. Feel like we'd be selling extremely low? The Feek, agree?

Haha not getting drafted is wishing "bad things" happen to him? Come on now. Cliff is an idiot. He deserved to go undrafted. Self went to bat for him for no reason, even though Cliff and co screwed Kansas over too. Cliff then responds by trashing the Jayhawks to NBA teams. Shocker, this was a big turnoff.

LOL at Cliff Alexander

Man if RJ Hunter falls to Warriors....That's just insane
-
Spurs just selected a euro big whose highlites on espn included him getting blocked
-
Now they traded Jones. That makes a lot more sense.
-
Cleveland growing tired of Delladova already?
-
Fantastic. Nice of him to fall to the Bulls.
-
Always sounded like the Bulls loved Portis so I'll guess him, if Jones goes to mavs.
-
Thank god grant is gone. Sucks Vaughn and Wright is off the board. Those were two definite targets. I want Justin Anderson
-
I would have said Melvin Ely played his last nba game 10 years ago if you asked me
-
Bulls got a guarantee to Payne at 22. Not that means anything. Other than that it's the questiest team on draft night.

QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 07:56 PM) I haven't watched nearly as much college basketball as usual, but a few random comments... -I think you have to take Towns #1. Okafor is a phenomenal scorer down low, but is limited in other areas. I don't even think his rebounding is that great, at least on the defensive end. He just kind of stands there most of the time. -You gotta love Russell's skills, but I'm not sure if he's athletic enough to be a star. An interesting thing I found a while ago watching draft express videos is the huge disparity in his stats based on quality of opponent. I believe his TS% was like 64 against teams below .500 and 53 against teams above .500. I like him, not sure if I love him. -I don't really get the Justice Winslow love. Yeah, he's a nice athlete, but he never really jumped out at me when I watched Duke. If he blows up, it will probably take a few years like Jimmy Buckets. -It would have been interesting to see where Mudiay would have gone if he had played in college. I think he might be a steal. -Several interesting bigs after 10. I'm not sure they'll turn into anything, but guys like Myles Turner, Trey Lyles and Bobby Portis at least look like lottery picks. completely agree on Winslow. Watched so much Duke this year and never once do I remember saying, wow I really want him for my team. Opposite for Jones and Okafor.

PG- Dragic SG- Wade SF- Deng PF- Bosh C- Whiteside That's the 2nd best lineup in the East, if it happens.
-
Winslow is my definte bust pick. heat are potentially really loaded so he might have some time to develop.
-
I love Cauley-Stein but hate that pick. Kings are a mess.
-
Hezonja's tape is so good. Think he's going to be at worst 4th best player in the draft.
-
Russell goes two
-
My guy who works for the Knicks say they're picking Hezonja if they big 3 are off the board as everyone assumes.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 05:26 PM) lol. maybe because that's because Towns was a beast defensively in college and projects so at the next level? Beast defensively at Kentucky? Thats some hyperbole. He was a nice shot blocker but that's about it. Mostly was hidden playing help. I don't think I ever saw him match up 1 on 1 outside the paint. Obviously that's a big no no for the jump to the nba, probably the single biggest difference between the college and nba game. I get the projection. He should and could become a good defender, but it's certainly not there yet. Okafor should be fine too. People watched him and took his defense in a vacuum. Duke was trying to do the same exact thing, hide Okafor as much as possible. This was mostly to give him a breather as he was one of the most used bigs on offense in the entire country. He touched the ball every possession. He fouled a lot too, which was a big part of it. There were times where K was content playing 4 defenders on 5 and letting Okafor just stand there. Not to defend Okafor's defense because it's not good. Just saying there were reasons for him to looks even worse than he was. He's got the best footwork I've ever seen for a big freshmen, so I think there is definitely a case to be made for him to improve greatly.
-
I think Okafor is going to be by far the best player in this draft. I still think it's funny the knock on him is his defense yet thay never ever gets brought up for Towns. It's so bizarre.

Plenty of managers would not put the winning run in scoring position

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jun 25, 2015 -> 04:03 PM) What is up with Roberston? It's all pitch calling imo. His stuff is exactly the same. His fastball is the best 93 mph fb you'll ever see, but they seem way over reliant on it. It needs to be deceptive and it isn't when it's all he's throwing. Even that last ab was nothing but fastballs. Would love to see his pitch % vs his time with the Yankees if anyone has that.
