QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 06:02 AM) My boy taylor graham looks horrible, but so do his skill players. Ole Miss has an expensive roster but 2 cent coach. They are average. Krush if this game sucks there is always game 7 hawks vs wings on channel 234 Rutgers vs Fresno on. Two decent teams. -

In a ten team PPR Cam Ray Rice, Alfred Morris, Frank Gore, Rashard Mendenhall, Gio Bernard, DeAngelo Williams Roddy White, Stevie Johnson, Lance Moore, Chris Givens Tony Gonzalez, Zach Sudfeld Rams Randy Bullock Pretty strong team, no? I just need help figuring out a WR2. Johnson was a somewhat early pick for me there, but that was before his QB situation. Now I don't know what to do. -

So yeah if there is something to that Rolling Stone article, Urban Meyer will be fired immediately. -

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 27, 2013 -> 01:33 AM) Rienzo with a sweet job of blocking the plate. Considering he is a pitcher and from Brazil makes it more impressive. He probably didn't watch a ton of baseball growing up. I wish he didn't though so he doesn't shatter his ankle. -

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Aug 24, 2013 -> 05:04 AM) I don't think the plan was ever to compete this year, hence no real major signings or trade upgrades. I think we will see a similar offseason this winter as well. Yes, I'm not sure what our plan was or is. We will see. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 23, 2013 -> 09:53 PM) Pretty impressive that AJP is bawouldn't ng fifth for the Texas Rangers. Obviously he's not washed up. It's apparent Sox made a big mistake in letting him go. One could make a case that our record would be better if we had a decent catcher who could hit. If the plan was to compete this year, not signing AJ was f***ing hystericaly awful move. That said he wouldn't make a difference for this year. -
There was some real weird stuff going on this morning. Lots and lots of stuck orders and weird prints.

QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 05:30 PM) I think you know it's way too earlcertainlybe sure Garcia is better than the player we thought we'd get. He's the same guy. I like what I have seen too but look at the way Brandon Jacobs came in on a tear and has sucked since. Yeah. And I would ask others to go back and read the Peavy trade thread and temper expectations. Garcia certainly is not a lot better than what we thought we'd get.
-
Even some top 10-15 prospect from their system would have been a lot better that the crap we got. And I doubt the Red Sox are calling off trading for Peavy over that.

Who Makes It Back to the post-season first, Sox/Cubs?

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 05:14 AM) I don't think they would trade Baez orbeing yant for anyone other than Sale straight up. Yeah, I'm saying Sale combined with Q and Santiago is probably a lot more valuable than their combos at any level. Sale being the big difference. -
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 03:56 AM) I watched part of one of those The Challenge shows tonight for some reason. I can't believe some of those people are STILL doing these shows. I remember Wes from when I was in HS watching this s***. Crazy they are still have the energy for these shows. But in the 20 minutes or so I saw, I absolutely despise that Frank guy. Picking fights w/ everyone and getting in their faces. Then, he stood in one of the rookies ways when he tried to walk by, then told the guy not to touch him. lol, what? I can't believe people still watch that show. How is it still on the air?

QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 04:57 AM) I guess it's relevant to this thread, is anyone else disappointed about the prospects we received from the Red Sox? I mean Montas has a big arm and control issues so he's a wild card but the other two? eh Yes. Not making the Red Sox pay more was bad bad bad. Blame both the Tigers and Sox for that though.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 04:41 AM) You can get in with great pitching and below average hitting. It's rare that you can get in with great hitting and below average pitching. That's true. I would think Sale, Q, Rienzo, and Santiago are worth more than their top 5 MLBers and top 5 prospects combined going forward. -

QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 04:41 AM) I couldn't even tell you their GM's name. Everyone knows Theo is running the show. -

They have certainly shown to have the better GM for rebuilding but then again, I'm not sure we're at that point. And ultimately that plan is a crapshoot as it is. -
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 03:43 AM) All three are lefties. Sure, adding two of the most coveted free agents sounds good. Can anyone comment as to how McCann measures defensively? I really doubt we sign him. Abreu is a righty I thought
-
We aren't trading Q or Santiago. I have no idea what everyone's obsession with doing so is.
-
QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 03:33 AM) No way we sign McCann and Abreu and go into '14 with a 3-4-5 of Dunn-Abreu-McCann (in whatever order) Why?
