  1. Apparently Dunn is just the second player ever to clear the shrubs in center.
  2. My boy Santiago is on the mound. He has a lot of pitches in the second inning.
  3. Yeah they broadcast the game all over Brazil apparently. Here's to baseballs next hot bed all growing up as Sox fans.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 2, 2013 -> 07:14 PM) Dayan taking groundballs at 3rd today. I thought of this the other day. I'm 100% he would be a butcher there. They moved him to begin for a reason. But man it would help so much if he could stick there.
  5. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Aug 2, 2013 -> 02:40 AM) and Morel at third.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 2, 2013 -> 01:34 AM) With all the talk of pitching and extra payroll, I would bet the farm we trade one of Santiago or Quintana for a big bat in the off-season, especially if Rienzo and Johnson keep putting the pressure on. I'll gladly take your farm off you.
  7. Funny looking at the other longest threads in PHT history. Next up is us acquiring Manny, lol. And after that it is Peavy rejecting a deal to us, again lol. Then the Tigers signing Damon, uh okay. And then us trading for Edwin Jackson, how exciting.
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 07:59 PM) It will be interesting to see which, if any, veteran they will bring in to sort of lead the clubhouse, set the tone, etc., once the current crew (Konerko/Dunn/Rios) are gone. I think Danks can set the tone with the staff...he's learned from guys like Buehrle and Peavy. And Sale seems more mature than his age, and a grinder. John Buck's a guy with a good rep, and so is Coco Crisp. He did a lot for those young guys in Oakland. Hunter Pence is another guy who seems to thrive in that role. Anyone think AJ could be that guy? Yes. AJ makes too much sense.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 04:09 AM) You know what? So would I. What happens if you can't work out details of a trade? Do u just give them the player and his contract? Or is he back to the White Sox? It's the Sox choice then
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 02:49 AM) What happens if you put a guy on waivers and a team claims him? Do you have to make a trade? What happens if no team claims him? Sox have the right to dump them on that team with all salary or work out a trade. Or do nothing. Then Sox can work out a trade with anyone for that player.
  11. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 03:21 AM) It is a tough choice after all Indians have Swisher and Giambi , guys we don't like. Yeah, Swisher is my most hated pro athlete of all-time. I can't root for them.
  12. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 03:16 AM) lol I'd love to tank against Cleveland and pound the Tigs Man I don't know. I hate the Indians more.
  13. Wonder if motownsports is planning acts of violence against us.
  14. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 03:14 AM) Wimpy is so much more pleasant to listen to than Stone Yep. Well, Hawk is so much better with Wimpy too.
  15. Hit Swisher in the face please. Then I don't care.
  16. Keppinger afraid to swing approach working.
  17. Do we really need to pinch hit Keppinger for Phegley
  18. Someone put Paulie out to pasture already
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 1, 2013 -> 02:12 AM) What's Hawk said about the Peavy trade/Avisail? They showed a highlight clip of him at the start of the game and Hawk said some generically positive things on how he's going to be a good one.
