  2. And maybe Weber is mixing it up. Saving his TOs to the very end despite being on the road and Minny making the occasional run.
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 04:23 AM) How do you figure? It's been happening since Deron left. If it's on the players, then shame on Weber for not figuring out a way after all this time of getting them to speed it up. The latter is on Weber. However, he does not change the gameplan with a lead, at least not in the last two seasons.
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 11, 2011 -> 04:14 AM) Weber has historically slowed down the pace in the 2nd half if his team has a lead. A That's the players.
  5. The reffing in the Minnesota/Illinois game is an absolute atrocity. My god.
  6. Haven't posted this thread in awhile, but any of that Jereme Richmond s*** that was posted was just that, bulls***. There were major concerns regarding another player but those have all been resolved over the past couple days.
  7. 1. Sale at number 67 on the top 100 2. Mitchell 3. Morel 4. Petrika 5. Reed 6. Escobar 7. Short 8. Gonzalez 9. Carter 10. Phegley
  8. QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Jan 22, 2011 -> 10:36 PM) Was there ever any doubt that it was Sullinger? And by the way, who ever said McCamey was the best PG in the Big Ten...well, he's not in the top 3 (I'd take Lucas, Taylor and Battle first). Craft outplayed him today. This is laughable. Anyways, props to Ohio State. They won a decent game for the first time since November, although I expect to be the case further on.
  9. Uncle Tom's Cabin should be rewritten to not mention slavery.
  10. I think it may have been somewhere in the old thread. There is a whole lot of people on Soxtalk who have PS3 for some reason.
  11. Anyon have the Soxtalk PSN list on them? We should get some Black Ops going.
  12. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2011/01/whit...-are-close.html Figured a new acquisition deserved it's own thread. Would be a great move for us fans of Sale starting the season in the rotation. Heyman said earlier he was down to 3 AL teams.
  13. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Jan 5, 2011 -> 08:01 AM) Studying abroad in the Netherlands this semester and Im leaving Wednesday at 6pm. I ended up with a B, not to bad for how bad that last test went, but I still thought I was going to get an A until that final. Yeah, I thought I had a legit shot at an A. Got a B. Pretty sure grades in that class were just made up. Anyways, got lots of games for Christmas: Black Ops: Already shared my thoughts NBA Jam: Pretty awesome. Just like the old ones and unlocking everything gets addicting. GoldenEye: I like it a lot but the controls need a lot of work. Also got Assasin's Creed Brotherhood and Fallout New Vegas, but haven't played them yet.
  14. Again that simply is not based in fact. Hell just the other night he scored 14 of the final 16 points to take down the Badgers. There are certainly arguments against McCamey, but you're going with the wrong ones.
  15. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 05:28 PM) Thats great and all, but they were also 7-6 in those games. And? 4-2 this year. He's certainly not disappearing, which is what you said. Perhaps the rest of his team does, which makes his numbesr all the more impressive, because they are not all that great. When you have a guard who can score as efficiently and put up massive assist numbers as efficiently as McCamey does, that is hugely valuable in CBB. I don't think there's any question about that.
  16. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 05:10 PM) McCamey is a great player, but he's still a headcase at times and has been known to disappear in big games. ...uh, No he's not. At all. Hell, just this year: 22 and 6 against Texas 20 and 7 against Maryland 11 and 7 against Gonzaga 17 and 8 against UNC 30 and 3 against Oakland 14 and 6 against Missouri 21 and 7 against Wisconsin in their main games this year. Dude is clutch. Going back to a select few games last year: 22 and 11 against MSU 27 and 7 @ Wisconsin 6 and 16 @ Purdue 28 and 9 against Purdue 18 and 7 against Ohio State 22 and 5 against Ohio State This is actually the exact reason I would take McCamey as the best player in the conference. He's been know to just go off and single handedly beat other teams.
  17. That stat really has no relevance unless you are comparing it to other spots in the Sox order. Not against other teams orders...
  18. QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 03:38 AM) I think Taylor versus McCamey is an interesting argument. Offensively McCamey is better, but Taylor is elite in taking care of the ball while McCamey's TO numbers are higher than you'd want. When you factor in how much better Taylor is on the defensive end, I think Taylor is a legitimate choice for the best PG in the Big Ten. But McCamey, Lucas, and Battle are all pretty reasonable choices too. I honestly doubt it's not close. There is not a more dynamic player in the conference as McCamey. To prove that, he just absolutely abused Taylor head to head as Taylor attempted to guard him the other night. As for McCamey's TO numbers, he has a 2.66 A/TO ratio. That's pretty much unheard of for an elite PG. And then there's Taylor who is somehow on another hemisphere with that stat last I checked, but that's a product of his system. McCamey can single handily beat basically any team out there. Taylor cannot. It's that simple for me. It's why McCamey will be a late first round draft pick while Taylor won't get drafted.
  19. They said it's Bardo's first time broadcasting at Assembly Hall. I feel like that is not true at all.
  20. QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Jan 7, 2011 -> 04:00 AM) I thought Dan Dakich was pretty insightful about Jordan Taylor being the best point guard in the Big Ten, but I'm pretty unimpressed with his halftime analysis. But he's not. He's now gone on a few random rants on McCamey vs. Taylor, and how Taylor is better. Taylor is a nice player. The only players McCamey should be compared is Jimmer Fredette and Kemba Walker for best PG in the country.
